Wesak festive dansala called community feast at the temple is so popular among Sri Lankans living in Melbourne. This year also was a huge gathering to enjoy the food offered at a very reasonable fee there are free food stalls and drink stalls as well. There's a very beautifully crafter vesak lantern with 5 or 6 tiers branches and a jataka kata, birth stories done with robotic figures which is a must to see for your kids. Its a nice atmosphere to meet and greet fellow sri lankans.
Sakyamuni Sambuddha Vihara was first established in 2002. Venerable Soma Thero's notion aspiration was, that one day the Vihara should become a center for Buddhist Education, Research, Information & Culture. It was his vision that this would not just be a temple for Sri Lankan Buddhists but, be a central point for all who wished to learn more about the teachings of the Lord Buddha.
Very peaceful and well kept place. Good place to meditate, take part in Buddhist activities.

There are few monks stay in here so it will help you to sort out your doughs about spiritual life. This temple has Load Buddha’s statue , Pagoda and Boo Tree . And this place has good space of car park These days they guys maintain COVID-19 safety procedures.
This is such a great place to visit if you are Buddhist. I love this place & not so crowded during the week. It's almost complete as a temple as you would find in Sri Lanka. Friendly atmosphere.
