Great food great brews. Go to place in Canberra for a special beer. I particularly enjoyed the Descent22 Imperial Stout. Rich vanilla flavour aged in foeder barrels with a hint of hops. At 10% it’s not a session ale but great for a winter’s night in Canberra. Very generous serve for a strong beer too! Combined with the tasty food menu it made for a great night out. The atmosphere upstairs makes the place even better.
When we first got to Canberra we didn't see that many people around, that's because they were all in here! Great choice of award winning beers. The menu is maybe not what you would expect for a brewery, but was good. Air-conditioned seating inside, more seating outside on the street. Decent atmosphere. Friendly staff. Quick service. Takeout available.
The BentSpoke is a must-do destination when in Canberra. Even though I am not a beer drinker, my colleagues highly rate the brews there, and the few local ciders they serve are excellent. What gives this place five stars for me is the food. The hot chicken wings are divine, as other reviews claim. The chilli is also very good. But the newly added Pig's Ear Burger... Oh... Wow. It is an experience. One of the best HAM burgers I've ever eaten. Burger aficionados rejoice, you should add the BentSpoke to add to your bucket list.
Fantastic brewery and it’s definitely understandable how Bentspoke continues to dominate the craft beer industry in Australia. Beers on tap taste even better than the can, so definitely worth coming down to the taproom to try fresh Bentspoke beers. Food was also pretty good as well and vibes were immaculate.
Very nice brewery goes without saying. Service was great and food came out together and timely. All in all a great experience.
Really nice brewery! They always have very nice options of beers. We tried the Farrer's wheat and the Silverback, both are really nice, good quality beers. Nice menu with vegan options, eggplant parmigiana was really nice. Nice atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Decent beers and ciders but felt they lacked a bit of flavour and was a bit disappointed with the pours. They were either not poured to the top or they had heaps of froth. Atmosphere of the place was great though.
Obviously the choice of beers is second to none, but it was the amazing food confit duck bao and beef brisket tacos and the other little touches with decor, staff and vibe that really makes this boutique brewery a must when in Canberra.
Last night in CanBerrrra! Has been cool and very wet! So I spent the last few days walking the galleries and Parliament House, the national museum and the local cafes and restaurants…who says Canberra is boring, there is plenty to do. ‘Twas too wet to walk the botanical gardens and aboratum something I do at every city I visit. So I’m back at BentSpoke for a few brews and a good feed! 4 nights in the capital city, I came here three nights, great beer, great food…#bentspokebeer
The pork burger was outstanding! Paired with their craft Belgian brew, a great meal. Highly recommend a visit to the Bent Spoke if visiting Canberra.
