Ordered from this establishment a second time. Lovely Asian man greeted me on the phone, was helpful and considerate when ordering and asking questions. Ordered family pack, generous servings and well cooked. Great quality and my young kids under 6 loved the fish shared a flake and demolished it. Great crab cakes also . Definitely a winner and we will return! And to the man who served me a special call out - thank you!!! Kid-friendliness: Kids love the fish and chips here
Ordered dinner last night from this place as our ‘normal’ shop was still on holidays. Fried flake was good, potato cakes great but oh boy the grilled flake was so small it fitted easily on a bread and butter plate it was a disgrace to call it a piece and to charge full price for it was very poor. $46.80 later and I won’t be going back to this shop, overall it was very disappointing. I also see below the owner has replied and apologised for the size of the fish, unfortunately, it’s okay to say your sorry after you’ve been paid but surely when you were cooking the fish you would have realised it was too small to charge full price for, it is too late now to be sorry as fish that size shouldn’t have been served up for $8 to start with or you should have cooked 2 extra pieces or even explained to us when we picked it up but there was none of that so really you’re not sorry at all, your just sorry that I put a post up to let other customers know to check their fish before they pay and walk out of the shop.
Bentleigh Seafood Surprise I like to thinknof myself as somewhat of a Fish n Chips expert so I am brave enough to try new places. Came here for your standard Sunday footy fish n chips sesh. These guys did not disappoint. The food here was very tasty. I can tell the oil was fresh. Fish was great quality. Fried to perfection. The burger was awsome. Exactly what you want from a burger with the lot. dim sims slightly over done but nobody is perfect. The shop is well presented. Very clean. Acknowledged fast. Served fast. Good menu variety serving all your favourites. Got the family pack which was great value at 36$. Also tried the standard burger with the Lot. Got some extra goodies as well. Food was made fast. Packed well in uber bags. Friendly service. Easy to find. Easy to park. Good value for $. Would return and recommend Well done to the new management just got to keepl it up
Ordered food from Ben’s burgers- their Uber arm. Order said it was delivered. Not delivered. Rang the store- they said order still there. They couldn’t care less! They said speak to Uber eats and get a refund. Don’t use Ben’s burgers for Uber eats.
Recently purchased fish and chips. The chips were good, but the potato cakes smelt of old oil and tasted awful. Somehow they stuffed up South Melbourne market dim sims by using way too much oil. Never again will I buy from them.
The best fish & chips I've had. Freshest fish, generous portion of chips, quality hotdog in batter and yummy potato cakes. Now my number one!
My favourite fish and chips in Bentleigh! Such a friendly atmosphere and great service. The owners were so generous. Absolutely love the calamari rings, fish and chicken. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Will be going back all the time.
Awesome burger pack x 2 - our burgers with the lot were spot on delicious as were the chips fresh, crispy & perfect amount. Best for us in the area
Vegetarian spring rolls taste really yuck. Odd flavour, and over cooked. Fried whiting was super greasy, grilled barramundi had a thick crust/coating on it that I'm guessing was bread crumbs and it wasn't nice. Serving sizes were not generous. Burger was fine, nothing special. Definitely not going back. Definitely not worth the spend.
Hands down the best potato cakes. Great seafood and chips. Definitely recommend
