Very bad dentist! My partner had a crown in 2019. After three weeks, the crown was partially broken. The dentist cheated that the structure of the crown was still good. But after only two years, it totally broken and fell from his tooth now!
Dr. Neil Latcham and his team are amazing. My first implant was 12 years ago and is still great. Yesterday I had my second successful implant. Dr. Latcham’s expertise, care and experience are excellent. I would never go anywhere else. Well done team. Thank you!
Nice friendly staff who strive to make patient experience genuinely comfortable for all ages! There is no other place like Benowa Mansions to have severe periodontal concerns treated and monitored! Doctors show solid proof of years of experience and acquired knowledge to give patients absolute assurance!
I have the utmost respect for this man. He approached my case and referrals in a zero rubbish manner, great sense of humour and straight down the line, facts. I read these other reviews as if people can’t handle the truth. I would recommend him to anyone. When I look for a practitioner in anything I want experience and facts, not a sales pitch. He is wonderful in his line of work!
Google reviews should offer a zero star review because Dr Neil Latcham would have it all to himself. Be extremely careful going here. I went in 2020 for 8 implants, 2 different manufacturers like an afterthought rather than using the same manufacturer for all 8 implants. I wasn't informed of that decision to provide me, the patient, paying $25,000 with two separate manufacturers of hardware in my mouth - that was presumptious and arrogant on Neil Latcham's part. It also could've been the leftover implants of a company he knew was a sinking ship. If I'd known prior I would've absolutely said no, 8 implants one manufacturer other Periodontists would've easily had access to drivers for the caps. That decision alone by Neil Latcham was arrogant and self serving. One of those manufacturers has since gone belly up and unless you go back to Benowa Waters, the drivers to remove the caps are both hard and expensive $2000+ to source overseas for a new Australian dental team, and you don't find this out until much later, and I now need yet another implant - banking up more dollars down the track I guess when you have to return to these guys - don't return. I DID NOT RETURN. Dr Latchan cares more about his nearing retirement fund than his patients - appalling bedside manner and sly, underhanded tactics to extract more money with pointless appointments, and watch out for the "temporary fillings" you don't know you have until they fall out and you have to return within months for new ones. Don't return - find a better dental clinic. Treatment FROM other staff - excellent. Who yells and berates their staff in front of patients and believes treating people this way is acceptable? Treatment OF staff by periodontist was abhorrent and I felt both embarrassed and a great deal of empathy for them. Would I recommend Neil Latcham - NO. Hell no. I was recommended by a friend and she felt so awful it almost destroyed our friendship - not her fault, period. I've seen so many other reviews here that haven't been favourable disappear only to be replaced by a flurry of "what a great dentist" Neil Latcham is in quick questionable succession after a poor review by "happy" people who have zero other reviews for anything else on their profiles, but this dodgy periodontist, and honestly, that is dishonest and unfortunate for everyone. We've been labelled "as can't handle the truth" which is glaringly obvious it was written by the surgery itself 1 review only as our experience is the truth. Unfortunately it's an image clean up tactic. Especially when Dr Latcham has repeatedly been afforded an opportunity to address those dire concerns and do better for his staff, his patients and his near winding up dubious reputation and career. My advice for you guys wanting your smile back to its former glory: save your money, sanity and long term dental implant health and do your research. There are great places in Brisbane and the GC who have on-site laboratories where options, patient care, and sustainable and affordable plans are put together with your input, consent and you're kept up-to-date on every single step. Our family dental team now is simply incredible and growing with trustworthy referrals. Quality ongoing patient care should always come first - Dr Neil Latcham fails to understand the very basic premise of this statement.
I came into see Dr Latcham as a fairly urgent case. From my initial consultation which was smooth and clear, he was able to quickly free up time to assist me with what I can only describe as a very difficult lower front teeth implants. On the day it was a full day effort, they welcomed me on-time something I find rare at any doctors. My hygienist was very polite and careful. She even suggested if I had headphones to listen to them - this allowed me to catch up on some needed audible time and served as a distraction to the noise. Dr Latcham came in and worked his magic to remove some teeth I won’t go into gory detail but he was quick and professional. I was taken to the room for implants. Dr Latcham worked his magic and it was surreal to hear to someone doing surgery while awake. I know there were likely some difficulties but he remained calm throughout the procedure, which instills confidence. Afterwards I saw the other Doctor, Justin, for some additional cleaning and work. The numbing was wearing off towards the end and while they offered further agents; it was only a few stitches so I managed. Then came the ice pack and recovery while the implants were made. About midway through I was offered a milkshake I got strawberry, in case you care which helped keep up some sugar. Towards the end of the day, the implants arrived and Dr Latcham came in and fitted them. Again quick professional and talking through what he was doing to his staff. I got out around 16:00 which made it a full day, but I am incredibly pleased with the results day two so far. Dr Latcham set me a message to check everything was okay, which it was. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m very thankful to Dr Latcham and the team for making my mouth while again. Thanks everyone great effort!
Benowa Mansions Implant & Periodontal Practice - Dr.Latcham Neil I have attended Dr Latcham’s practice for over ten years now, for a wide variety of dental work including periodontal, implants, general dental work and dental Hygiene work. Over time Neil and his team have provided me with great service and managed to almost eliminate my fear of dental work and manage my gagging reflex. My hight level of comfort in this surggery is entirely due to Neil and his team’s most carefully considered approach to dental work and patients, giving clear information on what is proposed and an absolute minimum of physical discomfort all carried out in a safe, comfortable and approachable environment. This is a very highly skilled, professional well managed practice group with great courtesy and concern for their patients. I have nothing but admiration and thanks for Neil and the practice and I have no hesitation in recommending Neil and the practice.
My experience of Dr. Latcham was nothing short of superb. Totally professional outfit all done with good humour and attention to detail. The dental work he does is complex and requires a high level of skill. Dr. Latcham and his brilliant and friendly team deliver on all counts. I couldn't recommend more highly.
Very bad experience and inexperienced dentists. I had some teeth filled in 2019 and installed a crown for one tooth. The crown was broken after just 3 weeks. The filling of one tooth fell out after only one year. I think Dr.Neil might be experienced but they have other young dentists who are very bad and inexperienced. I don't recommend this place.
I had the worst moment here by Dr. Latcham. He seems like just care about money, not care about a patient . He was madly rude!!!!!!!
