My first visit today. My intellectualy handicap brother in law has been here for a week and the level of care and staff appear to be wonderful. The building is beautiful.
My mother Lenore recently passed away after a 4 month stay at Broughton Hall. I would sincerely like to thank all the staff for making mum's last couple of months, which were extremely trying, as comfortable as possible. I cannot thank Ephraim and his team enough for the level of care and compassion mum was shown.
This building is a true reminder of Victoria's colonial era. A architecturally beautiful building in Camberwell that was built circa 1858. Formerly known as Tara it was the former home of three times Victorian Premier John O'Shanassy. Broughton Hall is now occupied as a Church of England Home for elderly citizens. The interior has been completely converted to accommodate 92 residents. Only the staircase and bas-relief panels, modelled as copies of Ghiberti’s Baptistry doors at Florence, remain intact.
Good quality high care aged facility. Friendly caring staff. Meat quality in meals could be improved to enable elderly residents to more easily masticate.
Was helping a friend - the experience was not as promised and aged parent was moved very quickly to another aged care group.
