Always have a fantastic casual Friday lunch here. Have been here more times than I can count. Wish the fish of the day would come back on the menu but without it I always find something beautiful. Crab linguine is always a winner, all of the pizzas are tasty and you can't go wrong with any of the starters. Recommend for a weekday work or girls lunch and certainly a romantic or group lunch on weekends.
The team at Bendooley were incredible! Everyone we worked with in the process of planning our wedding and on the big day were so kind, experienced, calm and light-hearted. Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable, super responsive and helpful with everything leading up to the day to ensure it all ran smoothly. Charles did an awesome job at helping with the ceremony and Kai was amazing helping with the reception. The food was delicious, the venue was and is beautiful and our stay at the cottage was comfortable. Highly recommend Bendooley Estate x
Fantastic restaurant, grounds, surrounds, service and bookstore. The food was exceptional. Well presented, timely and jam packed with flavour. Everyone was happy with the combination of entrees hint: try the figs wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with blue cheese, mains were very well portioned and desert was a nice ending and well balanced. The bonus of this place is the varying rooms and areas to explore. Multiple dining areas with beautiful fireplaces, amazing decor, plenty of artwork to gaze at and a book store brimming with contemporary and historical. The book store could almost be a library as the selection and range was pretty amazing. The cellar door is nicely tucked behind the main building, with an outdoor fireplace to keep you cozy on cooler days. The gardens and surrounds are beautifully maintained with sculptures, art and plenty to explore. Great for adults and plenty to keep kids occupied. Highly recommend.
I love it, been then a few times & the feel of the place, the book barn & every other area that has been added over the years is just beautiful. The only recommendation I could make is to the menu options for vegans. I'm not a vegan, but could you add some grains or carbohydrates to the vegan option, as they the mushroom dish was great, but needed a bit more sustance. We were there for a birthday lunch.
The best critique I can offer for Bendooley is that it lives up to its impressive reputation. A photographer's dreamland, the gardens are meticulously maintained. The service was impeccable, the food delicious. If you're after a wedding venue in the Southern Highlands it's hard to ignore except for perhaps the Stables!.Service: 5/5
We got married at The Stables in late October and wow what can we say! From the beginning from our viewing with Mark it has been nothing but amazing. Kelly was so helpful and prompt in the planning process, with her experience and knowledge we trusted anything she recommended. Kai on the night was fantastic, nothing was too much hassle for him and really made our night. The overall staff really made it the best day and more than we could have ever imagined!
Very Impressive Tonight’s meal at the cellar door was the best dining experience we have had in a very long time. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, meals were hot, fresh, good proportions and quick out of the kitchen. We can not fault the experience at all, other then the fact we couldn’t stay for more cocktails. We’ll done team, we will be back.. for a stay. Brad & Kate Hornbrook.
Absolutely in love with the interior - the food was alright but nothing to rave about. I had the salmon and ordered dessert to share along with some wine. It’s best to make a reservation ahead of time, as otherwise they won’t be able to accommodate you as they’re always fully booked for a good reason!
Just a quick note to say that the food, venue and the staff were absolutely amazing at the Bendooley Estate. We held my parents 50th Wedding anniversary lunch here and were amazed at the level of service and the delicious array of food choices. I definitely recommend this place. Excellent atmosphere and an overall 10 out of 10 experience.
I’ve photographed weddings at Bendooley for years now and it’s always a venue I continually enjoy shooting at. Without stating the obvious beauty of the grounds of both The Book Barn and The Stables, both venues are just incredible and both offering different styles too. If you’re looking at having your wedding in the Southern Highlands, you need to check it out in person, go visit both venues to see their differences with the same incredible food and staff. I recently photographed Maddy & Jackson’s wedding at The Stables and it was one of my highlight weddings of 2022.
