Great venue and hub for heavy metal lovers. The genre of music isn't my usual thing but the crowd and staff were very welcoming. Enjoyed a couple of cool bands too. I'd go again

Great place for live bands, Top shelf sound system and stage and lighting.
Great venue to catch a local band. The band room is spacious, and has nice acoustics. My band played our EP launch show here and it's probably one of the best venues I've played at. The front room is great for having a drink or feed with mates. There's a decent selection of beers available both on tap and in the fridge.
Awesome venue For live music great staff and makes for a good night out.
It's packed tonight, the live heavy metal music is great, the beer is cheap, but the floor is sticky and the air is not ventilating!
Tonight for the Minami Deutsch gig sold out I was asked to move away from the bar area several times. Several times I complied, as much as I could, motioning to the sold out crowd and asking, "where do you want me to move to?" after having a patron claim my place, for viewing only purposes the bartender got overly aggressive and threatened to kick me out, threating to grab me by the neck and evict me himself. Said bartender then started a 5 second countdown with which he said futher inflammatory remarks, i finished my beer before his countdown had expired and voluntarily walked towards the closest exit. He followed shouting and gesturing to which his own security could not provide a reason as to why I was kicked out. Whether it was ego or steroids or simply a bad day, the bloke does not deserve a job. I was then messaged by a friend who had talked to security saying that they were unaware as to the reason I was expelled and that I could re-enter the venue.
Been going here semi-regularly since I was 18 and they've never let me down. Always a great night or day out - many great memories here. Good choice of alcohol, reasonably priced and always has banging tunes. A go-to for those who love local heavy music and dive rock and roll vibes
Friendly staff! An amazing venue to watch bands and to also play at! The food and atmosphere is magnificent! A must visit to this pub if you're ever in Melbourne.
