Having been with Adelaide - now Bendigo Bank - for over 25 years…their antics leave me speechless. The list: insisting I needed loan insurance because of my age - cost $7k - stupid me: charging me resident withheld tax on a new account because they forgot to ask for my TFN-even though I had 3 other accounts with BB where they could have sourced my TFN: sneaking in a cash advance fee on the credit card for using Pay Anyone to pay bills: changing the status of one of my accounts without my permission to an offset account with a $5 monthly fee: closing the 2 branches that were located at 2 shopping centres I use including closing the atms: automated phone system - too gutless to have a real person speak to customers. I’m sure there is more but clearly they are not interested in community…they are just greedy corporates and I would not encourage anyone to start up with or move to Bendigo Bank - they don’t care! As an update - Jan 2024 - closed 2 BB accounts and opened several Bank SA accounts - should have done this years ago as my money is not disappearing in made up fees and I’m actually earning interest!
Hi my wife and I went in to the West Lakes branch to deposit a bank cheque , the cheque was made out to us, with one problem , my name is Stephen the cheque was made out to Steve & Lynne and our surname We have been with Bendigo Bank for at least 8 to 9 years. Everything else on the cheque was correct and aligned with the information on your system my wife’s name , my last name and our date of birth & address. The Teller advised us that she could not accept the cheque as it was made out incorrectly, after speaking to the manager, we were denied and turned away. The manager directed us to the issuing bank, who we haven’t had an account with for 8 years. They looked at it logically and we promptly opened a bank account with them and deposited the cheque! If the cheque was made out to S & L Our surname would we have had the same problem? We will be closing our account with Bendigo Bank. Regards, Steve
Good but too many customers for only two tellers.
It is now closed on Saturday mornings and open Mon-Thurs 9.30-4 pm and Fridays til 5pm. Certainly, is set up for the workers. Increasingly banks are just commodities for the shareholder.
All my interactions with the staff at Bendigo Bank have been positive. It is a bank who still has an interest in helping their customers and I thank them for it.
everytime i walk in theres a family of 18 arguing with the guy behind the counter, got my money tho
