Bellerive oval is an international cricket ground located in a very nice location close to water. But parking is limited. But you can find plenty of on street parking in nearby streets. Seating capacity is around 16000. But the security guards doesn't know how to identify a normal camera vs professional camera.
Had some extra time before heading out to the airport to head home so went down to Blundstone Arena to watch some of the BBL.The experience was really good walking in through the gates where we hey have some of the best security screening every single person before they went in, Sitting on the grass hill as good as You can’t do that at many grounds these days. Only thing I suggest is more food options for the game day otherwise all round it was a decent experience.
Bloody fantastic. ICC World Cup Sri Lanka and Ireland. First time visiting and watching a game.
We visited Hurricanes Cafe. Lovely ambience. Very busy. However service is quick and friendly. Lift access to avoid stairs is good. Excellent playground nearby.
Viewing excellent, food appalling. Gates opened too late. Fans like to see teams warm up. Members should have better entry to the ground.
what a great place, well run free buses and cops direction traffic... shame last AFL game only filled about half of the capacity... how will we fill a new venue costing 715 million... payback should be somewhere near my grandkids, grandkids old age.. good job !
Well laid out arena. We were there for a wedding so this is more aimed at those facilities. The room hosted 160 people quite comfortably. The service of the waiters was very good and friendly but also highly professional. The toilet facilities are close and very clean. Smokers have an area that they can use.
Not everything was open but what an experience it was to watch the Hurricanes win! Facilities are clean and tidy and even had cleaners being Covid safe and wiping down railings.
Went to watch the cricket. Venue was good but the bars were shutdown very early in the evening. Blame was put to the crowd being 'rowdy', but was all relatively tame.
Great place to watch the footy, however most expensive footy food I've ever come across far more expensive than Melbourne
