I have found my new favourite pizza place when not in Italy.nnThe wood fired pizza dough was lovely, light, and crispy well cooked. The clam pizza is a must try, the topping is simple yet delicious.nnStaff was friendly overall vibe was chill, family friendly dining.nn What we ordered:nn* Limoncello Spritz / Bella Brutta x Poor Toms Limoncello, Prosecco, Soda n* Scallop Crudo, Lemonade Fruitn* Chickpea Fritter, Pickled Onions, Anchovyn* Marinated Peppers, Capers, Oreganon* Clam Pizza: Surf clams, Pecorino, Fermented Chilli, Garlic, Parsleyn* Tiramisu
My partner and I have been to Bella Brutta numerous times over the years and it’s the consistently good pizza that brings us back every time.nnThe burnt crust might not be for everyone but we love it. I only gave 4 stars for service and atmosphere because sometimes the service can be a little slow when they’re busy and it does get a little loud at times.nnI'd still highly recommend it and if you think the noise might be an issue for you just book an early seating so you still get to experience excellent food and pizza.
We enjoyed a quick birthday meal at Bella Brutta. The menu is limited, but well crafted. The pizza options offered a variety of flavours profiles to suit all tastes.nnWe ordered the potato pizza with added guanchale and the sausage pizza. Overall we were pleased that the pizza lived up to the hype surrounding it.nnThe sausage pizza was a love letter to the genre, while the potato pizza proved a refreshing take on the old classics.
The pizzas are always top quality here. The dough is always well cooked, with the char on it from the wood fired oven, just like you'll find in Italy. The toppings are simple and not overloaded, but most importantly delicious. And they also have good Italian wines on the menu. We tried a negroamaro from Puglia and it was superb.
I’ve been to countless pizza spots across Melbourne and Sydney, but none compare to this gem. The pizza dough is light and with the perfect balance of crispness. Their clam pizza was topnotch and I could say it was perfection on a plate.nnAnother surprising delight was their sardines which they managed to pull it off masterfully.nnAside from the food, the ambiance was inviting and the service was fantastic. One of the front-of-house staff stood out, not just for his attentiveness but for his lovely face. Lovely eyes, cool tattoos, and a warm smile that made the dining experience even better.
