The new bell station looks better than the old one, but the local residents suffered too much noise.
Awesome new station on Bell St Preston now open, with no level crossing. Accessibility looks limited to stairs until around October, but PTV customer service may assist in the meantime
Whoever designed this new station needs a pat on the back. It’s awesome and feels like it is 1960’s inspired with the neon lights. Should be used as an example for architecture lecturing students. Has taken Preston into the future and beyond. Shame about the stairs though but I guess it’s more energy efficient than escalator as the station may be quieter than an inner city one at certain times of the day. Anyway the outside is incredible and worth a visit in itself.
Nice and old train station. Good customer service, Metro staff is polite. Nice indoor waiting area, toilets are available at this station.
Another hit from a trusted local guide.nnBeen here a handful of times as I generally crash in a motel BreakFree Bell City that is extremely close to this station.nnEven thought I don't drive I seen hear the issues with the limited parking spaces.nnPlatform 1 to the City has some nice street art on the fences along the car park line and that I love as a photographer, a really quiet station.nnReally Friendly Protective Services Officers are stationed here, great to have a chat to as your waiting for those later trains...
