Not satisfactory. So much promise, and problems that will be easy to fix. Staff are busy busy busy, but not attentive at all. Starters with no plates and cutlery, pasta served with wrong cutlery and a table with empty bottles and glasses just being ignored. We had a selection of pasta, risotto and salad. None were worth coming back for, none were enjoyable. Three of us left at least half our meals. At least the salad got eaten. Not overly expensive, but not worth the bill. This is one to give a miss until some changes are made.
The pizzas and the calamari were excellent! Nice base and lots of tasty toppings. We ordered online and there had been menu changes which meant some of our ordered items were no longer available. They called straight away and sorted out alternatives. Also the delivery was prompt and Will was the friendliest and most professional delivery guy we’ve ever had! Highly recommended.
After sitting in this restaurant for over half an hour tonight was informed rather rudely and without an apology that they could not make one of our pizzas. On a previous occasion the same girl had 3 attempts at making a chai latte and failed miserably. Sadly due to lack of training and extremely poor customer service we will not return to this restaurant again. Excellent customer service is essential if a business wishes to build a regular and happy clientele.
Was served by a friendly female staff members who was absolutely lovely so service started well but when we went to order, a man whom appeared to be the owner was absolutely rude and acted in a very unprofessional manner. He treated fellow staff members disrespectfully and provided an overall tense feeling. Other guests recieved complimentary water for the table but we were left without. When an error was made on our order, we the customer were made to feel humiliated for the error that was made on his behalf. Wrong drinks were served to what we ordered and one of the pizzas was incorrect as well which we waited over 20min for the correct pizza. Food did taste good and presentation was lovely plus other staff members made the experience a lot better. Just would have liked to be treated with respect by the owner.. Great for UberEats.
Couldn't recommend this place more highly. Pizza was one of the best we have had in ages. The guy at the front of house was very welcoming, was very helpful in accomodating a specific food allergy and did a great job dealing with a lot of people quickly and efficiently. Food was made quickly, cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Will absolutely be going again.
We have had lunch on two occasions at this restaurant in the past couple of months. On the first occasion we spoke to the owner upon leaving and informed him that though his food was very good the ambience was terrible due to the loud techno type radio station music being played and competing with the music being played in the next door restaurant. Hardly appropriate when attempting to converse with friends over a nice meal. Today 26/2/19 my wife and I returned along with another couple and once again found the food to be very good, service not so great and ambience no different to our original visit. We shall not be returning nor recommending this restaurant to others.
So this was an unusual little place. The food was great quality, and almost everyone's meal was highly enjoyable. The dough is fresh, and was superb in a way only hand stretched dough could be. It was also very reasonably priced, with generous portions. The beer, while I couldn't find out what the one type of house beer they have on tap is, was drinkable. It had no memorable qualities at all, but it was a very middle of the road, simple lager. I would recommend this place for group and family dining, or casual couple dining experience. The staff, while young, were all great, and while not always knowledgeable about the products, seemed to have been trained in wait service fairly well.
Have been here before & it was lovely. We do not live close 45 minute drive. Arrived & waited to be seated, i could see staff in the kitchen. Nearly 5 minutes later still waiting, we seated our selves. Still waiting for staff to come & take our drink order, i went inside, finally got the attention of the waitress, she comes out & says no more orders being taken tonight only myself & the cook are here & we have more orders then the 2 of us can do. At the same time i see a group of about 10 arrive & go to the table that has been reserved for them. We decide to go to the restaurant next door, which we find out is owned by the same people. I ask to speak with the manager, he comes out & i explain to him what is happening at BEL CIBO he has no idea, he goes in to talk with the staff at BEL CIBO, comes back to us & asks if we are ready to order. What a waste of time 1.5 hours later still waiting for some food. Vegemite toast would of been quicker, should of stayed at home. Have not been back & not sure if we will.
Actually it was over a year ago we visited this delightful Italian Restaurant we have yet to return! Only because of personal circumstances otherwise we would be back now. Good service, great wine , lovely waitress, great food. We also saw people on the next table share a pizza and it looked scrumptious. We have had a very eventful year which has clipped our wings somewhat. If you love Italian food you would be wise to visit this establishment soon Dean and Val Redcliffe Unfortunately we found out about 4 weeks ago that this restaurant has closed down. So do not waste your time like we did Dean and Val along with Dizzy Dukes in the same block sorry people. Dean and Val
Sorry Bel Cibo but the pasta and risotto dishes we ordered for take away tonight had black long hairs in them. They were both only luke warm, even though I picked them up 5 minutes before I had been told they'd be ready. The sauce in the fettuccini dish was floury and not very nice, chicken was processed and pasta tasted like basic Coles supermarket pasta. The risotto was also very basic in taste and overall quality. The pizza bread was even worse. No taste and very soggy due to the tastless tomatoe puree, that was on some type of Coles supermarket bread role base. Certainly not a pizza base bread. The amount of food that was served barely filled the containers. This was fortunate considering the poor quality. One star for food quality. I've read some other reviews and they are very mixed. I'm thinking maybe your pizzas are better quality but based on your efforts tonight I am doubtful. Based on my take away experience tonight l believe Bel Cibo could do with a Gorden Ramsay food makeover. On a positive note, the lady who served me behind the counter was very polite and helpful. Five stars goes to her for service.
