It is a shame to change my 5 star review to a 1 star review. For the past few months I have ordered from this restaurant on a weekly basis. The food is great and fresh. Unfortunately my last delivery took over an hour and a half to arrive to my home as delivery driver went to the wrong address. I was contacted by the owner Michael who offered me a replacement meal for my next order free of charge and delivered. When I tried to order my free meal, I was told the restaurant was too busy and I was hung up on by the owner. I phoned back as I did not find that to be an acceptable response they could have just taken my order and informed me of the wait time. In addition they had 6 days notice that I was going to be ordering a replacement meal. I then witnessed him screaming at his staff whilst I was on the phone to a waiter and then he picked up the phone and screamed at me, accusing me of “holding up his phone lines”. The owner is extremely abusive and rude and I feel sorry for his employees. I can only imagine how they feel night after night in his presence as two phone calls to him left me in tears when I had done nothing wrong other than taking up HIS offer of a replacement meal after they stuffed up my previous delivery order. I will never support this local business again.
Food was decent. Waited nearly an hour for a take away order when I was told it would take about 25 minutes. I then realised they had just given food to someone who had ordered 7 people AFTER me, and had only been there for 15 - 20 minutes. Pretty sure there were multiple other people that had ordered after me and received their food before me. A frustrating experience. Not convinced I would go back there.
Booked dinner for 6:30, entrees & soup came out together at a reasonable time then we sat for 1:25 minutes before our mains. I felt like I was in an episode of MKR with inexperienced home cooks. They seemed to be prioritising Take away orders not considering diners. Service was disgraceful with 3 young girls just talking & giggling not attending to customers at all. I had to call them over to ask for drinks and how long dinner was going to be. Food when it arrived was only ok and a sizzling Mongolian beef was beef strips in a congealed corn flour gravy. We waited another half hour for our dessert which was 1 scoop of ice cream. Not at all impressed, needs a lot of work! Other observations a table of 11 that were there before us also appeared to not be served, only saw them get served entrees & rice in the time we were there. Table of 3 that came in after us were served at the same time as us. Diners wanting to eat out would be better ordering take out and having it delivered to their table! Left at 9:00, 2&1/2 hrs of my life wasted, sorry nothing good to say here
I bought a duck banquet for two from groupon a few months ago, but only went to the restaurant with my husband last wednesday. It clearly says on my voucher it is a duck banquet, however the food we got was something else, which has no duck in it at all. I asked the waitress, she said there were 2 options, some other banquet or duck banquet, I thought she meant that we accidentally asked for another set which is the same value and included in the voucher. I bought the voucher quite a while ago, so couldn't remember what it says, and didn;t bother to go back and check at that point, as i was having a good time with my husband. It was our date night. Hence we decided to not make a fuss and just have what we've got. When i came back i still felt diappointed that we couldn't have duck that day, and checked on the website to see what is actually included, then i found that the waitress actually made a mistake that night, it says on my voucher that it is a duck banquet, and she scanned it at first, so should know it is not the other set. It cost me 55aud to buy from groupon, but the other banquet that was actually served was only sold for 20 something dollars, almost half price of what i paid. Then i was quite upset and disappointed, and decided to call the restaurant, a lady answered and told me that manager was away, but she took my details and said manager can give me a call back later. It has been a few days since then, but this call back never happened. I'm still waiting for a reply, and feeling quite angry when i think about it. Someone give me a call pls.
Ordered via menulog. Stated food will be ready at 820pm. Good wasnt ready untill 9pm. Fried rice was steamed and had no taste. Satay chicken tastes like lemon. Custard egg buns had no taste. Curry puffs full of oil. 0 out of 10. Will not be back again.
This is the WORST Chinese food I've ever had in Australia. Service: the restaurant is clearly prioritising take-away orders. I had waited over half an hour for some very simple stir-fried dish, while at least 10 take-away orders were prepared at that time. Food: this is NOT an authentic Chinese restaurant. Whoever prepares the dishes seem to have some deep misunderstanding about Chinese food. It was dull, full of various sauces that don't belong to stir-fried Chinese dishes. Spring rolls and "Dim-sim" was everything but real Chinese spring rolls and dim-sim. If you want to taste authentic Chinese food, do not go there.
Delivery was prompt. The food was absolutely delectable. Even the complimentary prawn crackers were exceptional - so fresh and crisp. Would highly recommend Beijing House to anyone. Big thumbs up!
Recieved a delivery tonight from this restaurant and it was the single most poorest quality food I have EVER had, it ended up in the bin. Then between menu log and this restaurant, they are refusing to refund almost $100 worth or extremely sub standard food. Warning avoid at all costs
Delivery speed was good, service was excellent, food portions were good, but the food itself wasn’t anything special. It wasn’t bad at all, but not something that I’d go out of my way to get again.
Decent taste, price was cheaper than any of the other chinese restaurants I went to in Australia. A nice place. Bathroom is a bit lacking though.
