We had our Family Christmas gathering again last Sunday 18/12/22. Great last year, fantastic this year. It's an excellent venue, the meals are first-rate and our appreciation goes to the kitchen and wait staff who served our 28 meals in quick-time, but also had a packed restaurant of 100+ to feed. I reckon we'll be back again next year for our Christmas gathering. Highly recommended!
Really shocked to see how the chefs treat the waitresses while I was ordering my meal. My heart broke to see this chef aggressively abusing and swearing at staff. This needs to be looked into as I can only imagine what else happens. This is the 3rd time we've been and the food is terrible, others were complaining also. Beautiful location poor/monster chefs! Gets some new ones before we return
We love going here for lunch or dinner. Alwasy have great service and the food is always so delicious and good serving sizes. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable dining chairs.
Food was nice but was not overly memorable. Had special of the day. Hungarian pork fillet with spinach rice and stuffed bell pepper. Food lacked seasoning and was not overly hot.
Ordered a steak cooked medium what I got was a paper thin steak that was over cooked served with cold chips and a poor excuse of a salad. Worst meal I've had will definitely never be back.
A friend and I came in on Wednesday to take advantage of their 2 for 1 schnitzel deal. At 7pm the building was nearly empty, only a few other tables were occupied and I don't think there was anyone in the bar. We were seated immediately. The interior is dimly lit and the decor is reminiscent of The Golden Girls set, but not in a bad way. The lighting could be brought up a notch, as you can tell from my photos without flash, it's really quite dim. Additionally, the air conditioning may be an older unit as my friend and I switched seats so that I could get in a jet of cooler air and he could get out of it. Like most other restaurants in this country, this place does not have table service. You have to go to one counter to order your food, then go to the bar to get any kind of beverage, including water. On this sleepy night, service was quite quick and even our food was brought out quickly. Neither of our dinners were especially hot - hot enough to have been cooked, but not piping hot - and we could immediately start eating. I had the King Avocado with hollandaise schnitzel and my friend had the chicken parmesan. The avocado with hollandaise was pretty good, if not a bit bland. I appreciated the bacon slice to provide a good balance of flavor, and there was a healthy portion of avocado smashed across the top. The fries were crispy and the little salad had a nice vinaigrette. My friend said his chicken parmesan schnitzel was just ok. The red sauce he thought was likely from a can, but he felt like he needed to rush through eating to get it down before it got any colder. Nearly immediately after we finished eating, our plates were bussed. Normally I'd give just 3 stars as the overall experience was rather mediocre, but for speed of service and that they got a bit creative I felt with their menu and the pricing, bumping it up to 4. Added bonus - this place shares a roof with a drive through liquor store so you can unwind at home after your dinner.
Not a bad pub for a meal, the service was fantastic and the staff friendly, our steaks were excellent as were the parmies. If you're out Beachmere way drop inv and grab a meal or drink.
Great service, helpful and friendly staff, the menu was well constructed and the food itself was excellent
The only place in the sleepy village of Beachmere that is open for evening meals. And whilst there is very limited gluten free options the chef fixed up a great meal for a birthday celebration. Good price. Good food.
Lovely place to have a Sunday lunch. Staff were lovely and helpful. Food was good pub grub and not overpriced for what you get. Entertainment area for kids so parents can have a relaxing lunch. Worth the visitService: 5/5
