The staff at the BRH were extremely welcoming and helpful. Jamie was particularly caring ensuring I had help with my bags after a long drive. The rooms are very well cleaned and stocked with lovely products.nWaking up to a beautiful purple and orange sunrise in a very comfortable bed was dreamy and the coffee machine made a perfect start to my day.nI highly recommend staying here. An inexpensive yet quality little stay.
Went for a monday night social with my brother. Free pool games on mondays is definitely cool! We met with some locals and played a couple games.nThe staff were friendly. The vibe was good. Cheers
After spending 80 bucks on some food, we asked for a little bit of extra gravy and they wanted to charge for it. Don't forget this is powdered gravy we are talking about here.nnThe manager in charge was a rude child with zero customer service skills and should be ashamed. Been coming to beach road for over 30 years. This will be the last time.nnAnyone who reads this, do yourself a favour and skip this place, it used to be a fantastic venue. Now all they care about is thin margins and nothing else. Absolutely pathetic.nnWhoever the boss is and if you read this, lift your game and perhaps you will get more business.nnSunday arvo btw
Arrive around 6:30 pm, played trivia and ate until around 9:30pm. So far a good experience. 9:45 rocks around as we start a pool game, we buy one more round. 10pm comes and the manager comes downstairs and turns all the lights on. Calls bar is shut. No last drinks. We go to order one more round, are told we are not allowed while at the same time off duty staff members are being poured drinks. My partner goes to use the bathroom and is told she cannot get access to the area she was going to was where the staff were having drinks.nnMeanwhile in the main bar while we were finishing our pool game locals and staff members off duty continued to be served.nnThe manager when approached about whether the bar was closed or not brushed it off as ‘what he says goes’. The words that were used was “yes I can I can do what I want”.nnNeedless to say this is the most arrogant and disrespectful attitude I’ve seen towards patrons I’ve seen in a bit. Honestly gross.nnI’ve run pubs for 12 years and would have been savagely punished if I acted this way by corporate.
Security are very abusive and racist.nParticularly a bouncer of the name of Tom, a female wouldnt give name and Security guard of the number 64 wouldn’t give name.The comments made were unbelievably inappropriate. Shocked and disappointed by the experience.nnIf this is accepted within this organisation I would be very concerned of the safety and welfare of those working and visiting Beach Road.nnI hope these issues are addressed appropriately for everyone’s safety and more respectful and appropriate people are appointed for these positions.
