We have enjoyed our time coming to The Beach Hut every day this week. The coffee is great, and the service has been awesome. They definitely go the extra mile to please. Extremely dog friendly and attentive to our furry friends.Service: 5/5
Hit this venue once a week, sometimes twice a week. Always happy to have/serve myself and my feathered posse. reading some of the negative reviews... people need to get a life, build a bridge and move on... shame the staff/owners at this venue cannot review some people they have to deal with... can only imagine if the hunter become the hunted so to speak... don't think the haters/sooks will be missed.... Will look forward to many more visits in the future with my guests... and to be served by the awesome guys and girls of Beach Hut :
Great food, coffee, service and location. We loved our spot in the weak winter sun outside on the Main Street. A great spot for people watching too. We thoroughly enjoyed herb chicken focaccias and added a couple of extras. The coffee was lovely too. The service was absolutely beautiful. Genuinely friendly and very efficient. This is a terrific cafe and given what we saw, it’s quite properly much loved by locals. Highly recommended
This place really deserves a 5 Star review When we first arrived the young male waiter was very judgemental of my 9-year-old disabled son and was verbally making judgements to another waiter about him at the door. Following from that though the service that we received from all the other people that work here was so phenomenal that we actually managed to feel comfortable welcome and past our earlier experience. The food is absolutely wonderful and the way that they cater to even your pets is beautiful and makes you feel at home. It's a very clean and homely setting where everybody is smiling and chatting. I can't recommend this place enough
I am so disappointed and disheartened with the terrible service provided at this cafe. I am a Support Worker and have been bringing my clients into this cafe weekly for over a year now, so am a regular customer. Today I asked if I could order a chicken and salad wrap for my client and told the waiter I did not want the one on the menu with chips at $19. I ordered a focaccia for myself which was $12 and I ordered a chicken wrap no chips for my client. When we went to pay the bill they charged my client $19 for the chicken wrap, which I queried. The Manager who knows me told me “sorry doesn’t matter that you didn’t get the chips, this is the price”. I asked them whether they make individual wraps and how much they charge for them. She said yes they do, but because I ordered this one from the menu, there was nothing she could do about it. I tried to explain to her that I asked the young waiter who was obviously new and inexperienced for a chicken wrap, not the one from the menu. He was lovely but didn’t understand. She refused to listen and instead stood there and repeated herself, treating me as if I was stupid. I had to ask her repeatedly how much they charge for a chicken wrap without chips to which eventually she replied… “$9-12 depending upon the ingredients BUT in this instance I must charge you the full price because you ordered the one from the menu”. I tried to explain I actually didn’t and there was a misunderstanding, but she refused to listen. I was totally baffled by her attitude and lack of compassion as I stood there with my client who has Down syndrome and an intellectual disability. I explained to her that he has limited funds and could not afford this amount for his lunch and that I didn’t order the wrap with the chips on the menu because it was too expensive and not in his budget. Again she continued to repeat herself as if I was stupid despite my pleas to her. Needless to say, for the sake of $7, they have lost a customer who was spending on average between $40 and $90 per week with them, and have now got a bad review on Google. Shame on you….
A lovely little cafe in Hastings. I couldn’t believe it. I was able to order gluten free French toast with bacon and maple syrup on the side. They use a really nice gluten free bread and as I only use a little - the maple syrup on the side. They had plenty of nice food on the menu. My hubby had a homemade burger also very nice. Coffee was good too. I would eat here again. Open every day. Awesome. Staff were very nice too.
Okay let me start off with how nice the staff are!! I didn’t expect them to do this but twice now they have paid for my meal coffee and toastie when I didn’t have enough to buy, or when my bank wouldn’t load to transfer money. i didnt get their names but thankyou so much beach hut cafe!! So grateful
Amazing staff period! Friendly and the food was tasty. We were visiting from Vic and choosing the beach hut cafe as our go to brekky spot was the best idea during this Christmas. The date &apricot fruit loaf, pancakes, hot chocolate and scrambled eggs . Of all the cafe around this place was constantly packed with customers the footfall was beyond and it was a clear testament that it is due to the amazing brilliant teamkeep up the good work. Loved it Vegetarian options: All options are available greens and tasty meals Parking: Plenty of parking even at Woollies and just a lovely walking distance to the cafe Kid-friendliness: During Christmas period my children were served or given free toys and gifts Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty space and witnessed the inclusivity of customers abled differently well done beach hut cafe team
Always love returning to have breakfast or lunch Service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is always spot on... and my gf loves the coffee. 5 star review for me!! Food: 5/5
The manager of this place is so rude. The eftpos.machine went down and his response was, not our fault. Offered no support or help to his staff. Just sat behind the coffee machine making coffees. The poor girls were so apologetic and flustered. He took no accountability for the machine being broken, just told costumers to go to the ATM across the road. Will never go back there again.
