Good mexican food infront to the beach Best deals on taco tuesdays
For the Tuesdays 3$ taco deal, it was great! The tacos were delicious, especially the shrimp one that we had to order it multiple times. The portion size was pretty decent as well, tho I must say that the nachos was really disappointing. It was stale and dry and would not recommend. They also have happy hour for margaritas which was delicious. Would definitely come back tho only during Tuesdays and happy hour.
We visited for dinner last night and enjoyed our meal. There are renovations on the go so the seating area was smaller than I guess it'll be, but that didn't affect our meal. Monday is a good night as all meals are $15, so we had a jug of watermelon margaritas which were enjoyable. This would have been a very average meal except the waitresses were so lovely, paying attention and chatting but without intruding. The food was okay, quite bland for Mexican food and also lukewarm in temperature. The meal came quickly and I get the feeling they have all the stuff for the various dishes sitting waiting and just dish it out. Perhaps a bit more attention to keeping it hot. All the Mexican restaurant reviews here in Coolangatta express disappointment with the taste and I have to agree here too. It isn't so hard to make decent tasting Mexican food with some character, so come on BBC, try a bit harder go visit some good Melbourne Mexican restaurants to see how easy it is. Despite the lovely staff and margaritas, I wouldn't be inclined to eat here again as there are other places that try harder to serve tasty food.
Amazing Mexican food and drinks on the beach with clearly marked vegan options for the compassionate. Polite quick service. A little piece of heaven for me. I'd definitely come back!
Two of us dined here for lunch on taco Tuesday $3 instead of $5 tacos. I got a chickpea fritter one where I liked the fritter itself but not the smokey sauce with it. The other taco I ordered was the haloumi one - so stingy on the haloumi that all I could taste was the spinach leaves. At least I could wash it down with a sugary rimmed glass of sangria.
Went here for Taco Tuesday and ordered every taco on the menu! Loved all of them and the staff as well, very cheery and nice! Sat with a beautiful view looking at the ocean - can't wait to go back! p.s. the margs are delicious
Bit disappointed when dining here. 2 people were dining and only one person was served. Had to go and ask where other food item was. It was then served cold..no apology :
Just avoid it. Filthy menus and tables, soggy food, unmelted cheese on the nachos, and not cold enough beer. I never leave bad reviews, but our experience here was way too unpleasant. Go somewhere else.
Not exactly sure where to start but I guess I will go from chronological order. I booked a table to try to ensure we didn’t miss out on a seat expecting it might be busy and when we arrived it was clear that nothing at all had been reserved and we were told to just choose a table that was free. The staff looked completely disinterested during our time there and then we waited over an hour for our our food only to be told that the ‘order had been lost’. Once the error had been pointed out the food promptly arrived and the person who I can only assume was the manager was apologetic however by that point in time the damage had been done. Given the amount of competition for business along this precinct I hope Beach Burrito learns from this experience because I sadly wouldn’t recommend anybody go there no matter how desperate they were…
Probably the worst Mexican we’ve eaten. The portions were small, sloppy, unmelted cheese, bland and missing ingredients. The restaurant needed a good clean outside, the young lady waitress was grumpy with a sour look on her face and obviously not happy being there, made us all feel uncomfortable. Such a shame, prime location for a good Mexican. Giving it 2 stars only because the male waiter was friendly and helpful.
