I would like to give them 5 star but the only thing is preventing me is the lady’s receptionist behavior. She was extremely rude and careless. We arrived 15 minutes earlier even though it wasn’t full she didn’t let us in. It was a cold and rainy night. She asked us to come back after 15 minutes. When we came back we had to wait and queue for 10 minutes. Despite the rude receptionist we had a pleasant experience. Everything was fresh and tasty. Lots of things to choose and have. Many options to choose. Whatever you want to have with good quality exist here. All other staff were working there were friendly and helpful.
BBQ City Buffet has a spacious seating area. Love the touch-screen drink dispenser, it is impressive! The service is good with regular grill plate changes. However, there was hardly any staff who came to collect used dishes. There was no smoke extractor for the outdoor area. With the blinds covering the area, we were very uncomfortable with lots of smoke. Pricing is slightly more expensive and options are limited, compared to other Korean AYCEs. It is okay overall.
This place was in a complex with its own parking, so that was very convenient. We went on a weeknight and it was still incredibly busy. We were making our way to the enterance of the restaurant when a rude couple pushed in front of us. That of course had nothing to do with the restaurant but it left us feeling annoyed. We were greeted politely, and they charged $3 for my 2 year old toddler. That didn't really bother us, although most buffets let him eat for free. The first thing I noticed was the smoke, it was everywhere and it was thick. They asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, but the outside area didn't look open so we choose inside. The food selection was okay, but there was not much option to feed a 2 year old. He just had a bowl of jelly from the very small dessert section. It was lucky we provided him with dinner on the way there. The fried chicken and stir fry dishes were not at the right temperature because they tasted cold, like it had been sitting there for awhile. The raw bbq section was good. They had a good range of seafood and meats. They were also tasty and probably the best part of dining here. We were asked often if we wanted to change our grill plate, which was nice and they were always friendly about it. The customer service is outstanding, it was obvious to see that all their staff were trained really well. I want to give this place 3.5 stars but stuck with 3 instead of 4. The reason for this is we're not in a hurry to go back again. The rowdy and rude crowds turned us off. When we walked back to our car, there were young people hanging out in the carpark like it was a nightclub. Definitely not a family friendly place to dine.
Delicious varieties of foods. Love the BBQ items. Good thing they clearly mark which are “Halal” and “Non Halal”. They had more varieties before, also price went up. Parking is convenient but on weekend night it is challenging. If you reception they will provide you prayer mats. Only thing don’t like they also serve alcohol.
BBQ City Buffet is your regular Korean buffet, or is it? At the buffet instead of getting the food, You Make The Food. The food is quite good but I wouldn't recommend it to a bad cook as then you have no chance of eating the food. The meat is quite high quality and juicy and the staff are really helpful. Overall 4 stars. But remember to come early to get the best variety and quality of meat, as the saying goes "The Early Bird Gets The Worm"
I've heard so much about these Korean BBQ experiences, watched them on my friends newsfeeds and social media. Finally went for lunch and we loved it!! I'm no cook so I definitely felt like a Chef cooking what I wanted and how I wanted it. Lots of people go for large portions but for someone like me? I took the smallest portions incase I didn't like the flavours. This gives you the opportunity to try, then decide what you want next. There are ready made buffet style food for those who have fussy eaters. Desserts were average on Saturday, apparently lunch is average. Highly recommend, maybe not the number one Korean BBQ in Sydney but still an awesome experience. Note: Don't waste your food or you will be paying for your own waste. Enjoy it's worth it.
Way better than expected. Food was fresh they refill emptied foods quiet fast. Didn't expect unlimited soft drink so it was a nice surprise. I do admit they are very poor with deserts but tbh idc. Bbq was good that's all it really matters.Food: 5/5
Halal Korean BBQ and Buffet? Say less! @bbqcitybankstown at Little Saigon Plaza, was the ultimate Asian bbq fusion! With a selection of top quality lamb, beef, chicken and seafood, we were absolutely spoilt for choice! The buffet consists of several stir fry’s and noodles, sushi, hot chips, soups and desserts to compliment the BBQ experience. We tried everything from beef ribs, olive oil beef wagyu, chilli chicken to chilli octopus and squid! My absolute favourite was the beef ribs and wagyu beef, the marinade on it was a like a sticky sweet soy sauce, absolutely delicious! All the meats were soooo tender, legit just melt in your mouth with every bite! You cannot go past this place, I try and go everytime I come down to Sydney and always leave with a smile and full belly! Thank you so much for having us, can’t wait to come again! Please note this place sells alcohol and pork products on premises but it is separated from the halal products.
The best Korean BBQ Buffet hands down. So many options to choose from, meats, cooked food, deserts, unlimited cold soft drink/water machine, very attentive staff. Would've took more photos but I was too hungry. Just wish there was one like this in Brisbane! Please Recommended dishesKorean BBQ Buffet, Banana Cake, Chips
We need to talk about things that go on a BBQ!! Types of meat and seafood. Here, we have, Pork, Beef, Chicken ,Lamb and 2 varieties of seafood, Cuttlefish, Prawns. The octopus is cooked already. Cakes and Jelly and Icecream , nice. Nothing to write home about. The place is Halal...but serves Pork. For the amerature Korean BBQ individual, it's great. Otherwise, steer away. Out of 10 Quantity and quality of food is mediocre. 6 Ambience / Atmosphere . Good effort. 6 Service, understaffed. 4 The hot fire / BBQ plate comes late, so you stuff your self with other food in the cooked section, so you eat less BBQ meat and seafood. 5 Location of food items 4 The sauces were at the back which a whole batch of people found at the end of dinner. Price 8 Not bad Location 8 Parking 2 Pay Parking Cleanliness of Restaurants 8 But, Unfortunately, the toilets brought the score to a low. Absolutely disgusting as per photos. No lock on doors. Seats broken , No toilet paper. NO SOAP. Floors so slippery and muddy. I thought I was in a 5th world country....if there is one. Any way, overall, To be fair, Food was good, if you found the sauce, otherwise everything will have no taste. Worth a shot, go and try. Entrance is hard to find so look for signs. Enjoy. Vegetarian options: Yes, Veg available. No full course specialised veg specific meal....just veg. Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy Parking: Take lots of coins
