Awesome Playground with picnic areas BBQs. Great old train to play on with a massive playground, the kids absolutely love it. Also has a bike track with functioning traffic lights which is super cute!
Bayswater Station is a clean, modern, and well-maintained station with good access to the Belgrave line. The recent upgrades have made it much more commuter-friendly, with elevators, clear signage, and sheltered waiting areas. There’s ample parking and a decent bus interchange nearby, which makes transfers easy.
While it IS readily accessible, it is in NO way disability friendly. The ramps are long and out of the way if steps aren't an option the ramps actually feel like an afterthought, compared to the stairs! The lift is at one end of the platform and so close to the drivers' cab that there is ABSOLUTELY no way you don't get a headache when the inbound service toots his horn! The ramp down to the platform brings you out all the way down the far end, too bad if you need ANY door that isn't the very first or very last! There is absolutely no weather protection ANYWHERE on the platform from sun, wind or rain and the toilets are always filthy. Not to mention that the lock on the first toilet door intermittently reverses itself to show red when vacant and green when in use and that's when it DOES lock at all!
Great place for shopping with plenty of places to park.
