Story

“Bastani”, is the Persian word for icecream. The reason that this name has been chosen for the café is to signify a home for the much loved traditional icecream that has been manufactured in Australia for years by the very owner of this café. Enjoy a trip to the heart of Iran with every taste of dairy goodness, as you taste the combinations of saffron, rosewater and pistachio. Mix in some delicious ice noodles with a touch of rosewater and you’ve completed your journey. He along with this family invite you all to be a part of his passion and love for Persian sandwiches, sweets and icecream…and don’t forget to try the traditional tea!

I have been there several times and I have tried Felafel which has great taste. Today, I have got Maghz and Zaban and it was also amazing and fresh. Other than food, the owner is experienced and talkative and you feel like at home.
I’ve only had the tea and baklava here. It was really yummy. But the highlight was the couple that runs the place. Such warm and welcoming people. Loved it. Definitely going back again to try the food.
The best ice-cream we’ve ever had
Great and delicious homemade food. Their variety of ice creams are also great. We ordered meatball fesenjan and pomegranate chicken and both were superb taste.
The saffron ice cream was really good. They were serving some of the northern Iranian dishes that you usually can not find in other restaurants. The owner is really polite and friendly.
The owner is very nice ; We enjoyed the nice meals and his handmade DATE ice cream
I like this little place. It is different and very and has a nice vibe. The food is decent and pretty good in total.
