I recently had a full knee replacement at Wonthaggi Hospital. Every step towards it was handled in the most professional and engaging manner. The operation was smooth and the care and empathy given over the following 4 nights could not be higher. All staff, from cleaners to Specialists were friendly, engaging and keen to prompt any questions. Had my own room on the first night and then a shared room with another patient other nights. All this in a public hospital system is wonderful. Today is day 6 after my Op and I’m walking confidently with minimal assistance. Thank you team !

I completely tore my Achilles tendon. The team at the hospital were fantastic.  I had to fly back to Canada for possible surgery but my saving grace is the way the doctors treated my ankle. The tendon has started to heal on its own and there is no surgery required.  I am deeply thankful for this professional team.

Just had the most wonderful experience during my visit to the ED department this afternoon. Reception staff were lovely, the Triage Nurse Chris was beyond amazing, Doctor Mark explained everything thoroughly and the xray staff were great. How lucky are we to have such a lovely new hospital with amazing staff. Thank you to all. Keep doing the amazing job you’re doing

In for minor surgery and was so impressed with the quality, care and expertise of the whole team from reception through to nursing prep, surgery preparation, anaesthetic team and the surgeon. Such a quality building and equipment too. Many thanks to all.

Just on holidays & got real sick. The emergency department was quick and efficient in dealing  with my issue. Excellent care by doctors and nurses. The department is so clean. The staff friendly and kind. 5 stars !
