Nice enough.Service was slow. Drinks sat on the bar waiting to be bought over. We had croquettes which were rather doughy and tasteless. Also the Pork belly which was on a parsnip mash. This was a lot better. Still pretty fatty but the skin was really crackely. Picture of the crocquettes.
We dined at Basq on Saturday night and the staff were tentative and accommodating...although we didn't have a booking the manager on at the time made sure he could squeeze us in despite them being almost fully booked. The food was fantastic and we love the industrial look of the place. My only minor complaint is perhaps a couple more meat choices on the tapas menu. Big thumbs up
One of the few fine dining experiences to be had this far north of the city. The restaurant is in a strip of 20+ restaurants, and last Friday night it was the busiest, while others were less busy, or even empty in some cases, so I guess Basq won the democratic vote, and on account of the excellent food 5 stars from me. The service was good, perhaps 4 star - on account of an entree order was missed but charged for, then refunded, and my wine glass stood empty throughout the meal without table service offering to refill it. I must admit it was full house...
Seriously the closest thing to fine dining Joondalup has. Amazing food. The owner is fantastic host. The staff are very attentive. The rib eye steak is simply the best steak on earth. Highly recommended.. PS, baby chorizo with cheese and honey is simply life changing
Hi Guys, my partner and I are regular Scoopon users which leads us to all sorts of restaurants outside of our normal area. We bought a coupon for Basq and had no idea what to expect. When we arrived the restaurant had a great feel, was very clean and the staff were super friendly and accomodating. We ordered the Chateau Briand. This proved to be one of the finest steaks I have eaten in a long time. We had such a good experience, we will be back again. Amazing food, great service and an experience worth having. Thank you Basq.
We have been going to BASQ for several years now, and have never been disappointed except when they too the Chilli beans off the starter menu. The food is fantastic, the service outstanding, and the ambience of the venue very comfortable and welcoming. We think it is one of the very best in Perth - our favourite place to go.
Love this place - have been coming here for dinner and coffee dates for the past year now and have never had a bad experience! love the food... love the atmosphere and love the service. 10 out of 10!
Awesome food, great atmosphere... The food took a little longer to come out as the staff were under the pump, but they kept us informed of the time and gave us a free round of drinks which was greatly appreciated!!
Wonderful staff, delicious meals but we can barely open our eyes because it's so smoky inside. I think we shall smells like garlic beef seafood. Well worth the visit because my tastebud is having a secintillating experience. OMG, you must try lemon sorbet....it was just divine.
I've been going to different restaurants every week for years and this has remained my favourite. Great food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend the Spiced Espresso Martini!
