Story

Basilico is a newly renovated Italian cafe situated on Main North road, Prospect. All food is freshly cooked on site using free range chicken and eggs and local produce is used at every opportunity.

With our fantastic Italian chef, friendly staff and love for good, freshly roasted coffee, Basilico is the perfect place to catch up with friends, grab a bit to eat or just pop in for a quick coffee. Our range of breakfast foods, pastas, sandwiches, salads and more mean there is something to suit every taste.

Wood oven pizzas are great here, highly recommended. Great atmosphere, not overly noisy when busy which is good if you’re catching up with friends, no need to shout to each other, and have a nice conversation over a good meal. The staff are great, attentive and friendly. The menu offers an extensive list of different style pizzas and pasta. Offers a kids menu for the little ones too. One pager wine list and few good cocktails on offer. Toilets are outdoor at the rear of the restaurant and needs some attending too when busy. Side Street parking available and limited parking bays in parking lot at rear of restaurant.
Vegan lasagna is very nice and pasta is also good. Highlight was the garlic pizza, simple and delicious. Friendly staff and generous serving, will come back again.
Been to this restaurant four times now, we have had the sea food crab pasta, the Marinara white and the wood oven pizzas. They have all been beautiful dishes and very fresh. All the food is real Italian cooking. The wait time is always short, definitely will be back.
Whether you dine in or take away, the food is amazing!! The pizza is a wonderful authentic Italian pizza made from an original...Italian...pizza chef!! My family of 4 have enjoyed it every time and the dough never changes!! The kitchen is ruled by top quality chefs who know their food and is amazing and our plates are different every time we go! Carbonara is our favourite done to perfection and the meat melts in our mouths every time!! They know they're food!! Their service is the best as always!! Would never change this place for others and if you haven't tried it....what are you waiting for!!!
Good pizza and nice and friendly staff. Mushroom and supreme pizzas were the bests. They were quite balanced and tasty. The dough is a touch too dense or maybe not proved properly in my experience. Also I couldn’t taste the cheese so probably they can put more or think about other cheese to taste a bit stronger.
Although the night we chose to eat here was not busy, the atmosphere was still buzzing. Our service person was amazing and it was his 1st night there. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We chose pizza and it was delicious.Food: 5/5
Last week friday i went with my friends and had an amazing italian food. Carbonara was on the point. The staff is very friendly . Best italian food so far in adelaide. Most recommended. Kush was extremely nice and welcoming to all of us.
5 stars for the ice coffee.. really well made. They're were people eating in there when we got there and the meals looked really good. My friend and I got a share platter... The dips were store bought dips and 2 of 3 were bland. The bread was mostly nice little burnt on two pieces, but good overall
I ordered a carbonara and the tiramisu in uber only to see that my tiramisu is missing. The carbonara was one of the worst I have ever eaten. No garnish, only plain carbonara pasta with almost to non-existent meat, it only tasted like salt
Delicious!!! Calabrese, siciliana is my fave. Always satisfy my crave for pizza. Oven roasted veg is yum as well and authentic arancini. Those are my often selections.
