Yesterday Karen and I had lunch at barnacle bill's and saw something that most retail stores are lacking which is Great customer service, Linda was absolutely fantastic and so efficient, the food was fresh,hot and bloody delicious. Keep up the good work we would travel from Modbury any time to dine gere again.

The Munno para shop has gone downhill of late. One day last week the shop had shut b4 stated closing time. Some previous staff were rude to customers and some ignored customers waiting to be served. Today my order was cold. Nothing worse than cold fries and prawns. Prices for soft drinks not shown and I was shocked by the price on the total bill price. It got worse today..arrived at 8pm. Place looked closed up. Chairs stacked. Sign put inside. Girl rolled her eyes seeing me. Was told no spring rolls...sold out. Today, a year later I was impressed with the service and the food..I ordered the butterfish snack pack. This time the food was piping hot. There were plenty of self serve bowls of towlettes ,salt and pepper sachets.
Bit of a wait for the food but when everything is cooked perfectly who Cares!?!? Friendly staff and reasonably priced.Food: 5/5
Bought lunch there for the first time in a while and was disguisted with the level of hygiene. The lady who was serving us at the register was also helping dish up food, she had long nails, lots of rings on, didn't wear gloves and was using her hands to dish up the food. I could tell by another customer watching her that I wasn't the only who was shocked by this. Will not be returning to that store.
Service was poor and couldn't get the order right fish and calamari was overcooked, chips not cooked and the rest was gross tasted foul
First time going to barnacles bills last night. Got a veggie burger which was stone cold like just come out of the fridge, went back and asked for a new burger, didn’t get a new burger just got put in the microwave and reheated. Chips were soggy and tasted soapy, Definitely won’t be going back there again.
A++++ Food was amazing!!!!! To be fair the first order wasn't right but I'm giving them 5 stars as I was very impressed with how Ali the owner and his team was dedicated to resolving the issue. I emailed my concerns honestly never expecting to hear anything back and received a prompt reply with an offer to replace. My first job was in a fish and chip shop and I remember what it was like, at the moment they have some new trainees and I can completely forgive any errors because it's good to see businesses employing some new staff and giving people a go. When the order was fixed it was torture driving 15 mins home as it smelled so fricken amazing, the signature mouthwatering barnacle bills smell, and I wanted to eat it right away. Everything was so good and I enjoyed a food coma for the rest of the evening. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. 5 stars A+++++ Will be back.
Order was slow being taken, but they were busy. Meal was not long to come out. If you find something on special that suits, it is good value.
