Nice place to watch athletics having a great view from the stand . The track and other amenities looked fine .
Cairns best multi-sports venue. Great for a range of events from small to large football games & major Athletics meets or music concerts and food truck festivals. Good Grandstand seating, just needs a bigger one! Reasonable food options, but the ticket system for alcoholic drinks seems a bit outdated.
Only 4 star because it's the only stadium in town. Would be 5 star if...1. There was all covered seating around the field. 2. The running track would allow spectators closer access to the field. 3. Seating was higher, because the camber of the field doesn't give view of the opposite side or try lines. 4. Smoking areas were way way away so access to toilets was not affected by cigarette smoke. 5. Local beers only at the food/drink outlets, and emphasis on zero alcohol beer, e.g. Great Northern.nFood service was good, but the only no sugar drinks were Coke Zero or water. Service personnel were very pleasant and well trained. Overall 4/5
