My gosh, but how good is this little cafe. I had the best eggs Benedict I've had in quite a while. My companion had fabulous waffles and we both had excellent coffee. Service was really friendly and professional.nnAbsolutely will be back!
I had this Full English Breakfast and it was probably the best I've ever tasted. Full of flavour and generous amount on the plate. At this place you can get your flea bag dogs grooming and washing or whatever you need to do with your dogs and you can grab coffee or food whilst you wait.
I had breakfast while I waited for my dog to be groomed. Friendly staff right from entering the establishment.nCoffee was great and the bacon and eggs were certainly a winner with me.nThe atmosphere was made even better with the dogs of customers happily hanging out with a Puppacino or icecream.nMy shaggy boy was also transformed into a handsome man. For his first groom they were great and he came out looking fantastic. Thanks Belinda on a great job.
We had a good experience when we visited here a while back with our pooch, however we were quite disappointed with the food this time. Conveniently, there is somewhere to attach your dog’s harness to, and a dog bed right next to the tables. The playpen with toys is a lovely idea. Cleanliness is very good. An extra star for the lovely friendly waitress, who immediately came out with a water bowl and made a fuss of our dog. We ordered the same meals we ordered last time, however my daughter said the chicken burger’s crumb was too spicy, and we hadn’t noticed anything on the menu to indicate the recipe had changed to a spicy crumb from the original crumb. I ordered the fish and chips. The issue with my meal was the fish, as I found two inedible rubbery things in each of the crumbed fillets, and it seemed like there was a lot of crumb and very little fish fillet.nnUPDATE. Bernard has been very positive in reaching out to us to take on our feedback, and to give him the opportunity to make our dog friendly lunch experience better. We’re happy to give Barkley and Pips another go. nnCan’t remember if my daughter had a chicken burger last visit, although I do know it’s been a while. Unfortunately, I forgot to point out what we found in the fish, as the waitress hadn’t come around to take our plates yet and ask how the meal was. We were then in a rush to go but, in hindsight, I perhaps could have done so.
Really pleased to finally come to Barkley and Pips Cafe with our dog. We were welcomed by staff as we arrived and they promptly took our order outside so we could sit with our pooch. Dogs can sit with you by your table or on beds next to the table and a pen is available for pets to play. We enjoyed fab iced coffees with our brunch bagels and our boy enjoyed his first ever pupachino! We are trying to socialize our new dog so it was nice that we could do that around like minded people who love dogs.
