The children’s area is an incredible space for kids to read, play, and take part in storytime. It’s the best library I’ve ever been to. Children can build with big play cushions, creating endless imaginative play scenes, which is incredibly beneficial for early literacy. The librarians are wonderful, they allow the children to play freely and let the space truly belong to families, which must take real generosity and trust.nnDespite the gravitation to the play cushions, children are constantly running back to their parents or carers with new books to read. It’s been incredible to watch my kids interest in books grow due to all the time we spend at the library. At less welcoming/child friendly libraries, there’s nothing keeping the kids there and they’re waiting to leave as soon as we walk in.nnSpecial mention to the storytime sessions, which are so considered, always packed and so loved by children. They are also on most days.nnLong live Bargoonga Nganjin Library!!nnEdit: in this photo my toddler has made a new friend and built this reading nook where they sat for nearly an hour in individual cubbies, exploring books and passing them between each other.
Really beautiful library with some great resources, study rooms and spaces and a lovely rooftop. Their library of things is well worth exploring too. It’s right next to eddy gardens and close to lots of nice cafes if you spend the day studying from here and need a coffee or park break.
The best library! Beautiful rooftop garden and a nice quiet place to work.nOnly downside is lack of space, often the toilets aren’t very clean and they have really short weekend opening hours you can register for after hours access though which is awesome
My favourite library, and the best I've seen so far. The selection is very good. The Open Library concept is amazing because not everyone has time to come by during normal open hours. The return chute is very convenient as well. I haven't tried the rooms upstairs but love the concept.
Absolutely love this place! Super friendly staff, plus the best selection of kids’ books for both older and younger kids that I have seen. The story time sessions are great albeit overcrowded and there is comfortable seating available. Great facility!
