First time visiting in Hobart Tasmania and didn’t wanna leave without ticking this box. Truly worth it! Definitely where Hobart and Tokyo meets. Great dining experience, great food, service, and atmosphere. The Beef eye fillet tartare and the cocktail were the highlights for me tonight.nThe whole place is highly recommended and rated.
The bar has an original design — a mix of Japanese art and bottles hanging from the ceiling, accented with colourful lighting that makes the whole interior feel vibrant and unique.nnThe share plates were outstanding. Between two of us we ordered the Kosho Granita and Sanbaizu oysters, Eye Fillet Tartare, the Grilled Yellowtail Kingfish Belly, and the Shiro Miso Braised Mushrooms. Every dish was amazingly delicious, but the oysters were the absolute highlight of the evening. The rich flavour and freshness of the Pacific oysters, paired with the beautifully balanced dressing — full of flavour yet light and not overpowering — made them perfect. Probably the best oysters I’ve had so far!

The ambience is absolutely on point — warm lighting, Japanese décor, and a unique display of bottles and masks that gives the venue a truly immersive atmosphere. The space feels intimate and vibrant at the same time, creating a perfect environment for a relaxed night out.nnThe drinks selection is impressive, especially the Japanese whisky range, and the team clearly put real thought into their offering. Dinner was delicious, well-executed, and served with great attention to detail.nnOverall, this is a standout spot for anyone looking for quality food, great drinks, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Our family had a great experience here last week for dinner. Walking in, the bottles hanging off the ceiling created a cool and trendy vibe. The food selection is great with varied meat, seafood and veg options. Something as simple as the miso soup really impressed me! The cocktail was very delicious too.
5 stars for the drinks and 3 stars for the food.nnCocktails have all been spectacular. No doubt on this.nnFood is just so-so. Too much bonito flakes for one, but we probably just ordered dishes that has it. The hibachi grill meats are good. Gyoza and oyster tempura are just ok.nnOverall, would come for drinks and light snacks.
