I can’t believe I’ve walked past this place countless times without giving it a shot. Bar Wa Izakaya is nothing short of a culinary revelation. It’s like stumbling upon a secret Japanese garden in the middle of the city. The chicken karage was so good, I considered proposing to it. The atmosphere is electric, with a buzzing energy that's infectious. And let's not forget the toilets – the Japanese instructions in over the speakers were a hilarious touch that added to the authentic experience.nnBut it’s not just the food and ambiance that make this place special. The service is impeccable. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular after one visit.nnHonestly, if I could give this place six stars, I would. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food, great drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere.
Where do I start with this place… there is no exaggerating when I say it’s consistently awesome, the food the service the buzz…. this place has a secret cause it’s typically packed, we’ve been there for lunch and dinner on multiple occasions and they deliver every single time! The team are friendly and engaging and the food,, oh the food …ahhh-may-zing, I can say this with confidence because we’ve probably ordered the entire menu, the oysters are phenomenal, mushrooms in miso yummmm, Brussel sprouts so good yes that’s right Brussel Sprouts sashimi fresh as you’d expect and the beer is ice cold, as in little formations of ice crystals because they put the glasses in the freezer #winning. The list goes on…..I think that’s enough said.
This place was incredible. The staff and the food were fabulous. We booked for 6pm Saturday and were seated straight away. The place was packed from the front door to the back however it wasn’t noisy even with that amount of people. The decor is fabulous and the ambience with the red lighting is awesome too. The agedashi tofu and sashimi were delicious
Best place I have ever been to!nYou are greeted when you get inside you do not get this everywhere!nYou must have a booking if you go for dinner on a weekend and it's understandable as it is delicious!nStaff is attentive and fantastic, no matter how busy it is!nAnd the food... Well, be ready to try lots of different and delicious things.nWe had the trout raw dish, the smashed and crunchy potatoes, the 3 types of meat dish and the wallaby wings which was absolutely the best. Meat treated with respect and the sauce was pairing it perfectly.nWe'll done team!
