Enjoyed our dinner here. We arrived a bit early and when sat outside in the courtyard we wondered whether it would work out as there was zero atmosphere unlike inside. As it turned out, once the tables filled up and we had some food and wine it went swimmingly. The food is definitely Nonna style - simple but delicious, and plenty of choice. Service was fine, pleasant and serviceable - any thought of being ignored out in the boondocks was soon forgotten. It wasn't cheap by any means but we felt we got value for money by Melbourne standards. I'd probably try for an inside table next time but meh...

I'd like to start with saying that these were THE BEST MEATBALLS I'VE EVER HAD, hands down. Arrived 30min early for a reservation and was seated immediately anyway. Moved to the bench at the window because it was a bit dark and loud from a group up the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful in choosing from the menu. Tasted a couple of wines before choosing a half litre. Had an amazing eggplant starter, very gentle flavours. Had the barramundi and meatballs, barramundi was very nicely crusted with almonds, meatballs were as I said the best I've had. Very tender, melted in your mouth, didn't want to chew too much or swallow not wanting each mouthful to end, no exaggeration. The greens weren't so for me but they were a cheap and necessary side for the meat dishes. Bread was given before and food came out. Will return for meatballs.

Brilliant food and great service. The outside tables aren't under heaters so it was a bit chilly and there wasn't all that much parking available so be mindful that you may have to walk from the next street over. However the quality of the food more that made up for these slight inconveniences. It's more the get a couple of plates for the table kind of thing and I would recommend booking ahead since it was really busy but overall a great experience with fabulous food and cocktails.

Superb dinner last night 9 October 2017. Entree brilliant as was the main course and unfortunately, didn't leave enough room for dessert (maybe next time). Quirky but quaint and trendy surrounds complimented by helpful informative and extremely polite staff. A real pleasure to dine here. Definitely coming back!

We have been here a number of times and most recently when my husband hosted a surprise Birthday party in their private room upstairs. The atmosphere, food, decor and service is excellent. You feel comfortable and cared for (like you are having dinner at someone's home) and the food is prepared with a lot of love and care. The staff are always discreet, highly professional and pleasant. A five star experience without all the bells and whistles.
