I have been a customer for Westpac bank, Chatswood for nearly fifty years. Recently I have come across a young lady Annabella Ng who has been so helpful, so patience and very polite in helping me. People at my age get worried and paranoid very easily. I would like to thank Annabella whole heartily for her patience and for her help. Thank you Annabella
My mum visited the Chatswood branch in the past 2 days and received the worst service ever. Her request to make changes within grace periy to a term deposit was declined and forced into rolling over to the same term for the staff's convenience. As she felt uncomfortable with the roll over decision, she decided to visit the branch again the next day; this is when she was that she is not allowed to make any changes what so ever as it has rolled over. While she is already unhappy with the advise, the staff member attempted to sell home insurance to my mum, she still tried to give out product information even when my mum clearly said she does not wish to discuss insurance product. Not sure if Westpac is not educating their staff regarding anti-hawking law or the staff member feels like she is above law and can do what she see fit to meet kpi. The staff member said she was going to lodge a complaint on my mum's behalf, I sure hope she has not submitted as a resolved complaint because it's NOT
Went into the bank to enquire about some payments, the banker named Albert was not only rude and lacked customer service skills but also was unhelpful. Told me that nothing could be done, I then left the branch and proceeded to call westpac online services who were not only able to help me but were well spoken and polite. These westpac bankers need a proper review of their performance and customer service skills.
Westpac's service is really bad, at the beginning of this month, my credit card was being used by someone. I've received the notification and instantly notified Westpac to stop the card, however the money used by the unauthorised party I have to pay for. You said that someone would contact me after the investigation of my case, but I have never been contacted. When I have stopped the card, I have still kept on receiving notifications for two weeks that the other person is still using my card. That proves that someone is stealing my details and using my card so why do I have to pay for money that I didn't use? Westpac bank doesn't secure their customers. The worst bank in the world. If you want to create a bank account, don't choose Westpac.
Coin machine hasn't been restocked for the 2nd week in a row. Bank is open on Saturday, but no teller service after 12pm. Bad staff, bad service.
Sad to add to the list of reviews. Still sitting here after being told there were two people in front of us and would be 30 mins. It has now been 2 hours 20 minutes as we have been overlooked on the list multiple times. Didn’t realize we needed to take an entire personal day off work for a bank run. Pathetic. Taking our money, savings, and home loan elsewhere.
I wanted to close my bank account today because the app is a nightmare and so is the service. Came into the branch in Chatswood and took the host a while to even look up and say hello. I had to settle $15 on my Westpac account. Operator wouldn't take my app payment at the counter and needed it in cash. I asked if they don't allow cardless withdrawal on their ATM and she didn't know. Went to Commonwealth Ba nk to withdraw money there and you can already see the difference on how they treat you as a customer. Was great Ed with a big smile and asked by the host how they can help. Back to Westpac, branch now full and only two people working while the third Operator comes in with her Takeaway delivery shouting across the floor to her colleagues. You would expect a bank to have higher standards in customer service but this branch surely doesn't! I am just glad I switched to Commonwealth!
Westpac is the worst bank and the worst bank staff at its Chatswood branch. Can't even speak English properly.
Useless branch. The coin machine is down, rebooted and totally blank out. Waited for an hour to get the card back. And there is no coin counting machine in the counter.
