We stopped here for lunch, and so glad we did, the outside eating area is so peaceful and very relaxing. Ordered two of the most delicious pizzas we have ever eaten. Looking forward to stopping again and trying other dishes in the near future. It was Good Friday and the cafe/restaurant was extremely busy but all the staff that served us were so friendly/lovely.

Delicious pizza, charming restaurant and lovely staff. Great stop to break up a long road trip. Will definitely come back in future.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough! We chose this venue for a family Christmas lunch as it was the middle ground for all travelling from different directions. The venue is stunning - an old, beautifully maintained property, with a gorgeous outdoor seating area and garden. Food and drinks were exceptional and fairly priced. Abbey was absolutely wonderful and so much fun!! and provided great service. Thank you for having us!

I really wanted to give Bank St Pizza 5 stars as we loved this place. Service was great, fabulous setting even the toilets were lovely and pizzas were fantastic, except for one.  The garlic pizza was very average - base was fabulous like all the others but it was plastered with garlic. And not fresh garlic, the minced garlic you buy at Costco I suspect. It was so overpowering we couldn't eat it - even my teenage son who devoured everything else. So disappointing for somewhere of this calibre.  But we will still be back when travelling up the Hume. Lovely place to break the drive.

WHAT a hidden gem!  Do yourself a favour - don't just 'pass' through Avenel, take time to pay a visit to Bank Street Wood Fired Pizza and Garden for ripper food and outstanding hospitality in the most beautiful of settings. A BIG thank you to gorgeous Abbey for welcoming us and for the many laughs - you clearly love your job and are a true credit to this lovely little restaurant.  Big hugs!!   Kid-friendliness: A beautiful setting for families and children.

Arranged a family catch up, we drove 1.5 hours others drove 2 hours to dine in for our booking at 12, only to promptly be told by the male staff member to hurry up and order as they needed the table for another booking at 1:30 - all guests hadn’t even arrived yet. We then ordered and the food was fine, a bit bland but fine. At about 1:15 the male staff member returned and hovered around our table and quite rudely kept telling us that we needed to leave as they needed the table. If there are time limits on bookings - please advise at time of booking so that others don’t experience the same and end up spending more time in the car travelling rather than with family as expected.

Good foods, however foods is very slow and they seem very short of staff.Food: 5/5

I have been for a while and the food is great. I come to relax and enjoy but staff have to watch how they're act. I don't need to know everything about their love life and appreciate not swearing very disappointing .Food: 4/5

A hidden gem in a quiet town. What we have here is some amazing quality pizza served by some very friendly staff. The combination of high quality food and some great local wines all served in place with such personality really made for a wonderful dining experience. Sitting in their outdoor area under multicoloured lights and by their fire drum while getting reasonably drunk also helped. 5 stars.
