The first Thai restaurant in Palmerston North since 1990.

Story

Since 1990, Bangkok Thai has been a kitchen of Thai food for local Palmerston North. As part of this community, we not only serving food. We provide the place for information center of Thailand or anything related with Thais. Many students got training from here from someone who never washed dishes to become a great business persons back home. We still continue to stand and proud to last for nearly 13 years. Just visit us for a talk and tell us how we can cook to suit your taste buds.

It’s a good place. Due to covid empty. Food is good taste. We had tom yum soup, pad Thai and fried chicken. With 2 drinks. Overall bill 71.5$ slightly expensive but good service and quality..
We ordered a small takeaway meal for two of us. It was excellent. A few weeks a go we had ordered meals for 7. This was an assortment of dishes which were great and enjoyed by all the family. This meal was delivered and Bangkok went out of their way to deliver on time. Great service thank you. Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options for part of the meal.
I have to say this is one of the most impressive Thai meals I've had. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Great presentation too. The only let down was we could hear a tablet or some other device playing kids shows quite loud, but it did stop after a while. I have no idea where it was coming from. The seats in the booth were quite high in relation to the table so it made eating a little uncomfortable. Next time, I believe we'll sit at a normal table. The food and service was that good we'll definitely go back

Have brought Thai from other places around Palmerston North but these guys always provide the best meals for freshness and size for price. Have never need disappointed with a takeout or delivery.
