Absolutely delicious, fresh Chinese takeaway. We have never eaten from here before, but I can tell you we will not be going elsewhere. We wanted a special meal for our wedding anniversary in bloody stage 4 lockdown and it did not disappoint! The waiter couldn't be more helpful, super friendly offered to carry the food out to the car for us. The food: So good! We had several dishes including beef and black bean, satay chicken, lemon chicken all very fresh, very tasty!
The variety and the quality of the food here is always exceptional. The service is excellent and I always feel very welcome here. Thoroughly recommended.
If I could have a last meal, it would be Bambu Bridge’s Whitebait with Spicy Chilli Salt. 11/10 and at the moment am unashamedly eating it once a week!!
Food was cooked well apart from the mini spring rolls which were like hard biscuits. Unfortunately the flavor was completely missing from the distinct Black Bean and Szechuan Chicken. I would not return to purchase food from here especially after calling and being told the food was always like this.... Tasteless.......
Lovely people that run it but the food is terrible, i am surprised they are still in business. It was tasteless and chewy. Edit: after your reply below I take it back that you are lovely people, I stand by the fact the food is terrible. We ordered for 8 people and everyone said it was rubbish.
I normally judge a Chinese restaurant on their fried rice. I was really hoping to find a good chinese place close to home. We ordered the Bambu combination and fried rice. The combination dish was a good size with lots of meat. Unfortunately the vegetables were all soggy and mushy which seems to be standard in a lot of Chinese restaurants today. I really can't stand soggy vegetables in Chinese food!! Also the fried rice wasn' t very good either. The rice seemed to be short grain rice and there was no egg or spring onions in it. Such a shame I was hoping from some of reviews I read that it would be good. This restaurant has great potential.. I may try it again.
Up there with one if the worst chinese I've ever had. Flavourless, a piece if "batteted pork" tge size if a gilfball gad a piece if pork in it the size if a marble if that.. The lemon chicken batter was 4 times the amount of meat. Asked for extra sauce and didnt even get normal amount. VERY STINGY Dimsims are stire bought. Fried rice was full if charcoal. Save your money people, dont try it.
My fiance's families fave Chinese place. Always good food and great service but PLEASE fix the door to the toilet, his grandmother got stuck in there and I have also on two separate occasions too. Handle needs to be changed to one that operates normally.
Went to Bambu Bridge for the first time yesterday evening for Saturday night takeaway. Always a little cautious about using new food outlets as you never know what your getting. Read several mixed reviews online although feedback generally tended to be positive. Ordered food over the phone for my wife and I and collected the order myself around 25 minutes later...no issues. I ordered fried duck in plum sauce, soft noodles and chicken skewers. My wife ordered chicken chow mein and chips although these were missing from the order replaced by crispy noodles which we did not order. Collected my order from the restaurant and made payment to the female attendent of $55.40. Returned home with my order my wife and I both looking forward to our meal. On opening the food cartons both my wife and I were horrified by the poor quality of the food we had purchased from Bambu Bridge. My wifes chicken chow mein did not look fresh, the chicken looked grey and gelatinous. The sauce was watery and colourless. I opened my soft noodles which were tightly pressed into a small round carton. They plopped onto my plate in one lump, were rubbery and slimey. My duck dish was grey in colour, meat did not look fresh and did not resemble duck at all. The plum sauce was pale in colour and looked more like dish water than plum sauce. The chicken skewers were tightly packed into a food carton. The top skewers had been squashed. Chicken looked processed and not fresh, satay sauce was pale brown, thick and lumpy. My wife and I decided not to put our health at risk by sampling the food we had purchased from Bambu Bridge and I decided to return it with the expectation of being given a full refund. I approached the manager on arrival and gave him an account of my concerns about my order. I asked for a full refund which was point blank refused by the manager who was rude, unsympathetic and argumentative all in front of the customers eating in the restaurant. The manager refused to show me his returns policy telling me that he didnt have to justify not giving me a refund. The manager continued to insist that there was nothing wrong with the food despite me continually pointing out my concerns. He even told me that he would only refund me if I fell ill after eating the food, which I found very strange indeed. He also advised me to call the police and report him for refusing a refund, which I found equally as strange. It was pretty evident that the manager had no regard for customer complaints, or consumer rights. It became clear that I was never going to be offered any kind of refund or alternative by the manager who showed me no respect as a paying customer. I advised the manager of my intention to contact consumer rights services before leaving without my order. I did, however, take my order invoice and insisted that the manager provide me with his name and contact details, which he did. Overall a very poor experience. Food quality poor, very poor customer service with no regard for customer satisfaction. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I love their fresh and tasty dishes..the meat dishes are always tender and with no fat or grisly bits...definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Victoria. The service is always friendly, happy and respectful.
