Month of July..... best time for Truffles ! I had the chance to taste the Truffle menu from Balla last year and still can’t forget about it... It was me and my missus anniversary and I took her to taste her first Truffle. Receptionist was very attentive and our waitress who wait our table was very very friendly ! They really know their products well too. While we were being served our dessert, as I said the receptionist was attentive to care about the night was our anniversary and she had the kitchen to write it down our plate and gosh, my missus loved it so so much. It is a defo we will go back this year for their Truffle menu again in our anniversary night.
From the few times I've dined here, the service has consistently been excellent. Staff are friendly and courteous. The food is also quite good. The presentation is great, and the flavours has always been to my tastes. I especially love the desserts. Overall, a great experience.
A very good Italian restaurant, although the portions were small. Dipping the bread in balsamic vinegar infested olive oil is one of my past times. There were three kinds of bread, each with differently textured crust. The grilled calamari was superb, tender and flavourful. I suggest the vongole orechiette, it's one of the best pasta dishes I've had. The pork was average, the centre a little under cooked and lacking in flavour over all. The torta has very delicate pastry, which melted in my mouth just as quickly as the cream. A very interesting experience. Not overly sweet and very fresh taste. It was an excellent choice for a special occasion.

As a coeliac, this was such an exciting dining experience! Such a vast array of options with confident, well informed and knowledgeable staff; I felt so safe eating here and the food was absolutely delicious!

I was excited when I received tickets to see a show at the Lyric Theatre but as I’m currently on crutches, needed a restaurant close to the Theatre. I phoned the Star Casino’s dining reservations and the staff recommended Balla - located next door to the Theatre. My wife and I are vegetarian and although more vegetarian options on the menu would have been great, I had a delicious pumpkin ravioli. Serving staff were busy but consistently helpful. My partner enjoyed the selection of wines on offer and we were served well within the 90 minutes we had allowed for dinner before the show started.
A nice restaurant in the Casino with a view of the water. The service is great and food is quite tasty, but I was a bit disappointed with the serving sizes of the meals. I've eaten here when it launched a few years ago and had the same issue with the serving sizes. I assumed that it would have improved after a couple of years, but it hasn't. For the price you pay, I'd expect to get close to full. They have a very wide variety of wines, so you won't be disappointed with your selection.
I went to Balla with 10 others for a team lunch celebration. Most tables have distant harbour views - perfect for lunch on a blue-sky day. Service was friendly and efficient. No beers on tap, but a good variety of bottled beer and wine - just a tad on the expensive side. Breads, olive oil, pickles and cured meats were fairly generous serves and all were delicious. I had their seafood lunch special one course for $29, two for $39 with a coffee and biscotti. The food was fresh, cooked well, but just slightly salty. This special was excellent value so I'd recommend you check the Offers tab on their website for current specials. I hope you've found something useful here. In summary, I would definitely recommend a lunch at Balla.
