We're a bakery located in Mount Maunganui. We bake our goods daily in line with our motto traditionally fresh. Come and visit us today.

Story

The Bake Shack has been serving up delicious traditional baked goods to locals and visitors alike for over sixteen years. As a local institution we're proud of the long standing relationships we have with so many of our customers, and of our reputation for great service- and great food!

We recently used the services of BakeShack for a Leisure Marching function. We were professionally guided through the process and the patience of the staff was outstanding. Think they forgot the filling! The pastry keeps repeating so at least I can keep having the pie over and over. Possibly one of the worst pies I've had. Do not recommend at all. The cake was OK so 2 stars.
When I awoke on Monday the 11th of July 2022, little did I know the out of body experience that would await me at 1:03pm later that day. I entered BakeShack, eager to try their wide range of delicious pies. I reached for the Lamb and Curry. The perfect golden crust. As I entered my vehicle in the car park, suspense was unbearable. I tore open the paper bag and sunk my teeth into the delicious exterior. My eyes glazed over, flavour filled my cheeks. The perfect balance of texture, sweetness, savoury with just a little kick at the end. The lamb tender and juicy. While many would say I helped backshack that day by purchasing their pie….. in reality they helped me, they helped me discover the best pie in the country, and quite possibly the world. I will be back.
My review is only rating the Quiche & Blue Cheese Pie as I only ever get these 2 items from Bakeshack. And they're delicious Try them ! I had heaps of them and they're always great. Though, sometimes there's barely any blue cheese in that pie .
I would like to thank Sonya and the team at bake shack mount maunganui for donated a cake for my naibours little girl who tuned 9 today you guys are lovely and the cake was so fantastic as was the look on her face, thanks again to you all

Worst pie I've ever seen in my whole life, like what is that!!
Was very impressed by the pies that were had this week. However was more impressed by the friendliness and service from one of the staff members. The young South African sounding lady with the pink hair was very polite and professional - impressive to witness this level of customer service during a week where Covid stress was running a little higher than normal in most businesses... Thanks guys!
Always great food. One of the best bakeries around.
Wonderful cafe and bakery. Not only is the coffee delicious, they also do catering. It was half hour off their closing time and there was still plenty to choose from which was also fresh and yummy. My first visit here and will be now another go to venue. The ladies on duty were awesome. Also I couldn't fault this venue, which is spacious and clean and equipment looks well kept. Wonderful
