Love the coffee here! It's cheaper than anywhere else and is good! The muffins are great too, and much cheaper than surrounding cafes. The pies are also good and again, cheaper than the other bakeries in the area. I always come to this place when visiting my family in Torbay. The staff are lovely too.
This is our family's favourite bakery of all time. We are definitely regular costumers....staff are absolutely amazing so kindhearted, patient and so lovely. I normally get the vegetarian quiche, my sister gets the vegetarian samosa and my mum gets the vegetarian sandwich. These are just a few examples of the vegetarian range here. So far, the food has be so delicious and very tasty. As well as being extremely reasonable. Would definitely recommend this bakery for sure.
disappointed with that Greek coconut cake taste not good and it's really dry eurk thanks but it's My last time buying something from your bakery
I got given a mug of tea, bag still in mug and about 3 tbsp of milk. No spoon was provided. I asked the owner for a spoon and he pointed inside where I could go to get a spoon. So I had to get up and get it. The tea tasted like cardboard. The service or lack of it was atrocious. The sooner these people leave Torbay the better, so people who are serious about providing quality food and service can replace them. I will NEVER go there again
THE WORST FOOD THAT YOU GONNA REGRET IF YOU BUY IT. I ordered and takeaway a chicken calzone that was just horrible, pure greasy and bitter, when I opened the paper under it was soaked on oil/grease, never tasted something like that. Just throw away after first bite, impossible to eat. Don't go there and don't waste your money.
Bought a pie which was so undercooked it was raw on the bottom. Bought it back in and they told me that's how they're supposed to be, said something about how it's the oven cooking them that way in a "steamed style" what?? The man was extremely rude and obnoxious, worst customer service ever. Went and got a pie from Euro Patisserie bakery down the road and it was beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. I suggest anyone reading this looking for a bakery in Torbay to go there instead. Came back and my partners muffin was also doughy and undercooked. Poor effort, terrible bakery.
Called in today for a breakfast muffin but NEVER AGAIN. Appalling treatment from the grumpy woman on the counter - first she says if you have cash I give you a big muffin but I only had eftpos so I got a small one. I'd bought a sandwich from the other bakery because I like theirs better and BG never have any ready before 8 am. When she saw the sandwich she said I am not serving you if you go to the other bakery! I've never had this treatment ever. I replied I was entitled to buy what I like from whatever bakery I chose. No wonder there are never many customers in there.
Good muffins but the lady who runs the place WILL rip you off. Most mornings I would come for coffee and muffins until I was over charged $6.50 yesterday. A check of bank statements revealed she does this often, usually small amounts though, although this time she was caught out. Was near impossible to get my money back. Won’t be back again
I went to the cafe and ordered coffee dicafe f.white coffee soymilk But it was the f.white coffee soymilk. I checked out, but it wasn't a dicafe. I thought the owner would be sorry and make coffee again. The owner keeps telling us that the guest asked me to do only Soy Milk. It is a business mind that is not New Zealand. I keep saying that if my wife drinks this, he can not sleep this evening, but he keeps saying that he is Soymilk. I said I felt upset and just came out. It's too bad. Kiwi Cafe tells you to wait a while and ask for a new coffee with a sorry heart, even if the guest has misrepresented it. But this cafe is a place where there is no heart to care for customers. It is a cafe that I do not want to go again.
Really tasty food. The orange cake and the Calzone, with the true Mediterranean flavor. The people who work there, very nice and friendly.
