Enjoyed it so much, I visited twice in three days! Tried the mushrooms four ways delicious and shared the soft shelled crab burger with fries amazing and French toast with fruit and ganache lovely. Also had an excellent latte and got an almond croissant for takeaway, which was great warmed up. There is shaded undercover private parking behind the cafe and the bathrooms are very clean, with facilities for babychanging. A great place.
Baker et Chef is a restaurant that’s located at the corner of Mill Point Road and Banksia Trc. There are limited parking spots available on the street, but they also have undercover parking behind the restaurant. In the morning there are a lot of freshly made loaves available in creative combination, such as olive and walnut, or apricot, rosemary and poppyseed. Their sourdough is different from what I expected, because of the hard crust. I was informed later on that it's following European style of bread with its crunchy crust and chewy interior. It wouldn't be right to leave Baker et Chef without trying their desserts. Ms Baker was working in France for 2 years, and her desserts look so beautiful. Each dessert was named after Baker et Chef's staff members. The colour and ingredients were made to match their personality too. Ms Baker prepared a box filled with one Kouign-Amann, one almond croissant, and one strawberry croissant to be enjoyed later on. I can tell you that each was really delicious, especially the strawberry croissant with strawberry filling. That one was definitely refreshing.
Good coffee, excellent pastries. French toast a little pricey but seriously delicious. The cakes are amazing and you're not just paying for looks either - the combinations of flavours are always right on point too.
Lovely little corner cafe on Mill Point Road. Delicious pastries and hot food from the kitchen. Ordered four different dishes from the breakfast menu — Mushroom 4 ways, Chef’s Breakfast, French Toast and from the specials menu, the Wagyu Katsu Sando. Great flavours from all the dishes. Very well cooked. The Wagyu steak was cooked to perfection... Medium rare as it should be! The house-smoked whiskey salmon is a must try. Bought a couple of pastries to go. Lovely croissants. Light and airy. Subtle filling and flavours. The dark chocolate and raspberry croissant is great. Coffee is good... another place to add to my doesn’t-over-steam-my-soy-milk list . Excellent customer service from the owners and the team. Fast service and the chef will be more than happy to listen to your honest feedback. Would definitely return to try all the other dishes, cakes and pastries. Parking is easy with dedicated customer parking at the rear of the cafe.
Friendly staff and the best sour dough bread I have eaten outside of Europe. Their pasties can hold their own against any Bakery in Perth. Well worth visiting this hidden gem.
Amazing food, the breakfast was beauitful. The cakes/party is amazing and personally I think it is priced well. Some might say it is costly but real partisser isnt cheap and cheaper isnt always better.
Visited for lunch and had the Petite Couching which is roast pork and crackling on a baguette. It was served as an open sandwich. The pork was quite flavourful and the crackling was perfect. The cafe itself was very clean and well presented and had yummy looking cakes and bread. They also have outdoor seating which is a bonus on a beautiful day!
The loafs are my favourite, for their creative flavours think camembert & fig, olives, chorizo! and spot on textures of crunchy crust and perfectly chewy soft insides! They are worth it for the price, even if, overall this place can seem quite pricey for the smaller though equally tasty! pastries.
Small cafe but really good bakery, the croissants and the cake really good. The price itself a bit expensive but worth to try!
pretty good range, coffee was good the staff were quite friendly. live the interior set up and vibes.
