Easily my favourite bakery !!!!! High quality goods prepared in a high quality kitchen, with high quality bakers and high quality customer service. They pay particular attention to the ingredients in their pastries, incorporating a range of techniques and ingredients that are technical and offer something unique for the palette unlike other bakeries that lazily stick to cheap whipped cream and buttered crossiants - they are technical masterchefs crafting a special experience for the taster. I recently visited the Back Alley Bakes and was blown away by the quality of their pastries. The bakery is located in an industrial area of Coburg North and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt. I tried their croissants and a danish pastry and I was suitably impressed by how flaky and buttery they were. The coffee was also excellent and complemented the pastries perfectly. I highly recommend the Back Alley Bakes to anyone looking for a delightful foodnexperience.
Was so glad to have found this hidden gem in Coburg!nnI found it as we were craving some freshly baked sourdough to make some breakfast! The sourdough was perfection, crunchy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside! The “morning bun” which was a cruffin was an absolute highlight for us- it was so crunchy on the outside and flaky and moist on the inside, I could eat about 100!!nnThe focaccia was super pretty, moist and flavoursome, I assume they would make a variety of these every week so I’m keen to try the other flavours!nnThe cookie was good but I’ve also had better cookies!nnOverall an unreal bakery, definitely worthwhile checking out if you live in the area! I adored it!!!nn4.5/5
A great bakery! Good food, good options, good atmosphere and can come with your dog! We love coming here and getting some pastries and a delicious walnut sourdough! Highly recommended! 10 out of 10!
Such a great little spot for freshly made sandwiches, baked treats, coffee and bread. There’s always something new to try and they’ve got a great little courtyard off to the side with plenty of shade and space, would definitely recommend!
