Cut and full head highlights by James only and very much recommended! Very lovely staff, coffee, nice quiet area. I prefer when my hairdresser is quiet and focused and James exactly is! Very picky, eye on detail, every single one hair has been touched and cared. Very much scrupulous If wanted magazines or have a chatt is no problem but I was completely relaxed ‍‍ And one little important detail- clean and nice toilets! Like that I’ve seen they really care about cleanliness.

I've just got back from Axis and want to ensure that everyone knows how excellent and kind the service i received was! I went in there with packet dyed hair - which came out a yellow/ginger colour and asked them to sort it out. Charlotte was slightly unsure as she wanted to make sure it was perfect so instantly called her manager to come in for a second opinion. A colour was chosen and i am now happier with my hair colour than i have ever been. I was also spoilt with all the luxurious shampoo, conditioner, volume spray, shine serum, hair spray and beauty balm!  I've booked my second hair appointment there already and could not wait to recommend this salon, and in particular, the girls who work there as they were lovely!

I have tried many studios in Chelmsford previously and can honestly say that Axis Studios is the best hair salon in town with amazing and friendly service. And all this for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Axis studios and commend in particular James Mitchell as a master stylist. Axis studios will be my regular destination.

Love it. Groupon deal led me here. Carol is amazing hairdresser. Would go just for the super hairwash given even. Will miss her when she goes on maternity! Hope she returns!

First visit and the worst haircut I have ever had by James. Shared a particular concern before cut and completely ignored. Lovely place and the owner seemed nice but hate, hate,hate my haircut! Can't wait for it to grow again.

This salon could easily be missed as not on a main road but that would be a shame.  Recommend James, he is very good. Can't comment on other staff but they are all nice

Axis hair studios saved my hairs life. Been to countless number of places where they have not known how to deal with my frizzy, thick, curly hair. Decided a year ago to give this hair salon a go being very sceptical that I would find somewhere that knows how to deal with my hair. The last year my hair has felt so healthy and have managed to beat off the split ends.

They are excellent with curly hair, and it's such a nice place to actually have your hair cut. Very professional and experienced

Staff were so friendly and welcoming, couldn't have asked for a more positive experience and to top it all off I got an amazing haircut for a reasonable price. Thank you axis studio
