We stayed in an immaculately clean, large kitchenette room on the top floor at a reasonable price. Always very pleasant staff and easy late check-in with notice. Air-conditioning. Parking easy to find in the evening, harder if returning from the beach in the morning. Small TV for size of room.  Rooms: Ask for a ground or 1st floor room if worried about steps.  Nearby activities: Thereis a nice park in front of the hotel empty during school hours.  Walkability: Short walk to Randwick main street shops, cafes, restaurants and buses to Bondi Junction, Town Hall, Coogee Beach, etc. &lt; 10 minutes walk to 2 Light Rail stops at far end of Randwick main road Belmore or down Alison Road towards Randwick Racecourse.

We loved staying at the Avonmore at the end of our Australia travels. It was a great place to wind down and do our own thing.  It was chosen for the magnificent period architecture and some beautiful floor tiles as well as the location for two nearby beach resorts and a Flying Fox Grey Headed Fruit Bat colony in Centennial Parklands, which we walked to and back from on our last evening.  Highly recommended  for the friendly staff and the comfortable beds.  Rooms: Our room offered everything with the exception of a safety deposit box.  It contained a fridge, microwave and tea making facilities.  Cleaning products, including washing up liquid was an added bonus.  Nearby activities: Great local transport using the light rail service and public bus services.  We travelled in from Melbourne via Sydney domestic terminal by train and light rail.  It was easy to visit Bondi and Coogee beaches by public bus services during the weekend even though maintenance work was being carried out on the light rail system, which meant no trams were running.  Safety: Very quiet location. Reception manned until the early evening when the front door is locked so only hotel guests can enter with a front door key.  Walkability: Centennial Park is within walking distance as well as the university and the hospital.  It&#39;s possible to walk to Bondi beach and Coogee beach but, a little tip here - take the bus back. The hills are very steep coming back and it&#39;s uphill all the way!

We stayed in the hotel for 11 nights. It is beautiful heritage building and rooms are tastefully decorated and huge. The staff were very cordial and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay there. Good restaurants are available nearby. Would love to stay their again

Had such a nice, comfortable stay here recently. Nothing fancy but it had everything I needed. Staff were all so lovely and helpful. And the location is great!Rooms: 4/5

This place is clean, in a great location just outside Randwick center and near the tram stop. It’s opposite the park and is in a quiet location. This place has a certain old fashioned charm. I would not hesitate in going back to this place, whenever in Sydney.  Rooms: Sizable and quaint rooms with a retro style. The bathroom was smallish but was a little bit tired. but the main bedroom was clean, well decorated and sizable with air-conditioning. The room also had a small kitchen area as well.  Walkability: This place is a 5 to 10 minute walk into the main shopping area of Randwick and only 10 minutes or so to the main Tram station. A great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Avonmore on the Park Boutique Hotel. Service very good our room was large, very comfortable and clean. Great location with good facilities and restaurants near by. Easy access to all main roads. Thankyou Avonmore we will return.Rooms: 5/5

Beautiful old heritage building, tastefully decorated. Staff were ever so friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh.  Carparks were a problem, which I could live with. But the shower was little more then a dribble.  If you can tolerate the shower, then you will love everything else about rest this place.  Thanks to all the staff for the helpfulness. and friendliness . I honestly feel bad about only giving you three stars.  just the shower

Booked a two night stay but there was a glitch in system and it all went wrong. However, the staff were brilliant in helping to sort it out. Cannot fault them in anyway. Look forward to staying there some other time based on the interactions with the wonderful staff.Service: 5/5
