Id recommend trans people avoid using the JP service at this library. The JP on Tuesday afternoon didn’t read or fill out my sex change NSW BDM form correctly. Ill be going to the pride centre on sat to have it done again in a safe space.
This library has been one of the biggest highlights of moving to Avondale Heights.nnI bring my now 3 year old here whenever we can on a Wednesday for Preschool Story Time and we end up staying for an hour or 2 after that too. The wonderful activities, songs, dances, stories and events they host here are so wonderful for families and the community as a whole.nnThis library is such a safe and inclusive space. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and kindness we've been shown over the years. I am a disabled mother who truly values everything you provide for us and our community. Thank you so very much.
Came here for story time with my 3 year old - it’s fantastic! I’ve been going to the west Footscray one but this one was much better for older toddlers - the stories are excellent and the librarian was really engaging.nnThe library is huge and has plenty of room and a great selection of kids books
For a supposed 'library' it's outrageously noisy which is disrespectful to people who come to read to get AWAY from the noise. Also the selection of books is trash. Don't expect to find the 'hip' 'popular' or 'trendy' books you see floating around thanks to booktok. You're better off going to a different library.
Was there a little after midday to return and reborrow some books. Was met with a couple of very helpful and polite ladies librarians who assisted me all the way with my queries. Left smiling and in good spirits. Thank you ladies! What a joy great customer service brings!
