I was so excited to finally try this place and it didn't disappoint. A Friday evening and school summer holidays could have been awful. Yes, it was busy but we had no problem getting a table, ordered the food no problem and not too long to wait. BYO is a def advantage and the views don't hurt. Food was good, the fish was fresh and the batter light. The table next to us had grilled fish and salad which also looked amazing. We will be back. Thank you
Really nice fish and chips with very generous serving sizes and beautiful views
Not sure why the reviews of this place were so high as they’re seriously average fish and chips. The chips are frozen pub chips, not hand cut. The potato scallops were soggy and grease filled - couldn’t eat them. Fish was fine. Calamari was very average. Milkshakes were also average and more like flavoured milk. Threw most of the food in the bin.nStaff were very lovely though and worked quickly.
We're long-term regulars here, and have rarely been disappointed. The last couple of visits haven't been up to their usual standard though.nnToday, a few items were a bit overcooked in the old oil, and not drained properly. Our chips were inedible and we had to toss them. Just an overall bitter, burnt oil flavour.nnThese things shouldn't have been served, guys.nHappy to give it one more chance, as we know you can do better.
Hands down best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Fish melts in your mouth like butter, chips are always fresh, the calamari is never chewy, not to forget the amazing house made tartare sauce ! we travel from Sydney not only for Avoca beach but also for this fish and chip shop!nnGreat work team @ Avoca beach Seafoods
