The best fish & chips we've had in Australia!! Really wish and there should be that there were more as good as this! Very reasonably priced, top quality fish that breaks apart on your fork, healthier but great batter! The Salt & Pepper squid also the best we've had! Delicious!! They can get really busy but generally get through the numbers quickly. Highly recommend!!
Glad I found this place! Doggy friendly and really fantastic Fish n Chips. The batter was crunchy and I love how fresh and piping hot it was. We had the seafood basket + extra fried fish with the garden salad. The serving size was really good. The views can’t be beat. I can imagine the place getting busy though….we were lucky getting in just before the 6pm dinner crowd. Highly recommend :
Is there anything more Aussie than fish and chips on a sunny Sunday on the beach? Wonderful old school fish and chips with lashings of chicken salt. It’s very popular so suggest if you are in a hurry, then get in before midday on a busy day or else just be patient as well worth it. They have a great system in place and the staff there do an amazing job. Super patient and friendly.
Fish cocktail is enormous. Staffs are friendly. Quick service. Sitting right in front of the beach enjoying the nice view. What a great holiday away!!
Awesome local fish n chips shop with a nice area for sheltered outdoor seating. The food was fresh and generous portions for the price! There's also plenty of nearby tables and benches to sit if it's full.
My dear ex-colleague who lives locally was very keen that I join him for a fish lunch at the Avoca Beach Seafoods recently. He'd been promising this for months before my visit from Europe. And my goodness it was wonderful. I understand that the pure white fish was Blue Grenadier which the owner sources from New Zealand. It was encased in a delightfully delicious batter. We didn't bother with any chips - there was so much fish that we had had trouble to finish it. But there was no way that I was going to leave any uneaten! We sat outside with superb views of Avoca Beach. And it was such a lovely sunny day so I can rightly say that this was a wonderful place to enjoy a casual lunch. By the way, I couldn't comment here on either the quality of the service nor the prices. My friend got me to sit outside and treated me to this superb lunch.
Super solid fish and chips place. Good pricing, great portions. The big share packs are well worth the price.
One of the best fish and chips I've had. Fish was fresh and flakey with a light crispy batter, calamari was tender and prawns were big and plump. Chips were perfectly crunchy. Portions were huge. Reasonably priced. They were super busy and it did take a long time to get our order but it was worth the wait.
Excellent location for a quick lunch with a view, service is quick and friendly. Portions are generous and tasty, there are options if battered fish is not your favourite such as the grilled Barra.Food: 4/5
Visited the place on Australia Day, surprised to see them open. Ordered fish and chips, and I can say they were probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. Fish was fried perfectly and broke easily with just your fork. Chips were perfectly seasoned and they didn't charge a public holiday surcharge!! Will definitely try to visit again when I'm around the area.
