We were very happy when we collected our keys in Dec 2016 and felt the house was build very well. However very disappointed with the services after that. The contractor engaged by Aveling came to work on the 6 months maintenance work but did not do a good job. SOme discoloration appears on one of the ceiling possible due the sealing compound used. Tried contacting him but unable to get him including Aveling. In the end I had to do the paint over myself. Recently there were some settlements cracks happen in 3 different locations at the same time which I believe is unusual. The widest gap was about 3-4mm wide. With one of the window frame shaking which I felt it is dangerous. When I contacted Aveling, they just claim it is settlement cracks and that is. Didn't advise what need to be done or send someone to have a look. Normally I see cracks in my house or friend's home, it is just crook lines but mine is separately the cornices form the wall and paint were peeling. Really unhappy with the respond.

This company should be held accountable for cheating consumers into building with them after they falsified numourus reviews to give the appearance of customer satisfaction. This also created an unfair advantage for competitors.

Built in 2013... Worst customer service - will ignore emails and phonecalls once contract is signed which of course is after admin completed their spelling mistakes Terrible build - dodgy brickwork, sinking shower drain, gaps between windows and walls, chips in walls, deadlock not able to work, requesting payment based on stage completion (even when stage isnt completed), incorrect tap connections, exhausts not working. Handover wasnt very comforting - stonebench not stuck down, blood in bathroom, dirty house, glass and bricks left all over yard - resulted in dog slicing up his paw year after moving in from buried glass and cement, very arrogant supervisor. Its now 2018.... Replaced due to cheap or faulty products and/or installation: showerheads, taps, window frame / lock, exhaust fans, laundry glass door (after spontaneously shattered due to incorrect glass used), plastering in areas, paint in front of house and now after years of dodginess the aircon.

The whole process with Aveling Homes has been so easy and amazingly Fun! The Team are very professional and made our home a dream to build, no drama or surprises were encountered. I was very impressed with Jeremy ( Sales/designer) who helped us design our home to the way we wanted it and turnaround times were amazing – not waiting weeks for plans to be returned to us! He was absolutely wonderful person to deal with. His patience, knowledge and advice made this building journey easy. Our site supervisor John was excellent with his communication and explanation of everything, any questions were answered professionally and promptly by him. Friendly and easy to deal with! Overall we are satisfied with the quality, the time frame and staff involved in our project. We love our new home built by Aveling Homes and highly recommend Aveling Homes to anyone who needs to build new houses. Thank you Kate & Justin.
