Story

Autoplex Ltd is a family business that has been servicing Southland vehicles for over 20 years. We are based on a drive in service for repairs and WOF(no appointment necessary). We have a team of 8 Qualified and experienced Mechanic's, so we have years of knowledge between us, including a brake specialist with over 30 years experience! We do all general automotive repairs and WOF repairs at competitive rates. We are the complete one stop drive in Automotive Complex. Autoplex is MTA Assured and Auto sure approved. We also are a service provider for most Automotive Warranties. We have the Latest in Snap on Diagnostic Scanner, and The Latest Cemb Wheel Aligner. We are passionate about providing you with fast, efficient and cost-effective servicing and repairs.

We are centrally located on Yarrow Street for your convenience. This means you can drop off your car and leave it while you are at work, or drive-in and go shopping or get some chores done while we work on your car!

That was 1992. Today Autoplex is a busy inner city workshop and WOF drive through.

Sorry but don't think I'll be coming back here again. Was satisfied with the service and price of the warrant but they charged me $45 for a front right headlight bulb + fitting. $118 total including the $73 for the WOF. Talk about daylight Robbery.  Would just like an answer to this question though. Why is the price of a WOF almost double here in the South Island compared to the North. Average price of a WOF in the North Island is between $35- $40.

Took my float in for a WOF the Saturday of Easter weekend, done and dusted in 1 hour they even replaced a light bulb then and there so I could pass the wof. The mechanic was super friendly, the guy who did wof was helpful and friendly can’t fault anything, and really appreciate you guys giving up your time on Easter weekend to help people like me who forgot wof was due :

Great place so easy to drop the car off

I Failed WOF on my mx5 because I had decals on my quarter windows. Looked up all the requirements and nowhere does it say anything about quarter window stickers. These stickers in no way impaired visability to either the wing mirror or front facing view. I've passed every previous WOF including a VTNZ WOF with these stickers, they were expensive and important to me as they were of a my recently passed Rottweiler. They took almost three hours to check my car, never called me to say ig was ready, I had to call them. Do not recommend this place at all.

Nice quick turnaround. Owner is awesome and was happy to sit down and have a chat all round great experience.

Fixed brakes, wheels didn't fall off later. Did a great job at short notice and keep me in formed, would recommend

These guys were amazing. Honest, reliable and well priced. We came in with our self contained van which was having some problems. They got us sorted and on the road again. They even let us set up our van in the yard to sleep in over night which was very much appreciated. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I often feel going to a mechanic I am being taken advantage of or ripped off, but at no time did I feel that way here. Thanks guys for the great work. Highly recommended.
