Just got done donating some whole blood for an urgent need. I was able to get the needed appointment time. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was to get in out quickly.
I don’t normally leave reviews but the staff at the blood donation centre were so kind, friendly and professional that I feel compelled to show my appreciation. From the moment I entered I was looked after and also thanked for my donation. They helped me, a first time donor, through the process and we’re delightful when I felt a bit dizzy. The milkshake at the end was the cherry on top. Thanks Lifeblood for not only doing such good work but for having such lovely people do the work in your donor centre. I am sure I’ll be back :
One of the best things to do in Melbourne - donate blood! The Lifeblood team is so lovely and caring and so competent. I felt in very good hands and always enjoy being here! Even gluten free snacks available! Thanks for a pain free and comfortable donation experience! Love you, team!
For 2 years, I've been donating as regularly as possible. The staff has always been as friendly as possible and if you avoid the peak times, its a pretty quick process. 1 thing though that I noticed going down hill - the snacks. There is less and less variety and also there is even not enough quantity. I'm not sure what this can be due to but it is a bit sad to be spending 1.5 hours to end up facing some empty shelf. It would be great if we manage to turn this around because i want to keep on coming to share my blood/plasma and get some great treats!
Can't find the location in the beginning. But finally can see the little sign showing where it locates . Staffs were nice and friendly.
Update: Unfortunately my 10th donation didn't go as planned due to some issues but I will rebook ASAP. To all the nurses and the staff working here, thank you for what you do, you guys ROCK! Uber friendly staff and nurses, very clean environment and incredibly well managed establishment! There is free parking available to you for saving people's lives to get free parking call them and ask at reception and heaps of yummy stuff to recharge after your donation so you can easily get on with your day. Donated my first 750 ml of plasma today after a few years of giving blood twice a year AND IT FELT GREAT. I used to faint on sight of blood and this place has turned me into a regular donor! Go do it now, it'll feel INCREDIBLE and you'll see some vampires in action true story...
Great donation experience. If you need an extra excuse to donate, this centre has god tier party pies. Was easily accessible and the team were lovely, informative and prompt. Thanks!
After waiting for more than 45 mins after my initial registration I ask the front desk if there is a problem because I see people arrive after me called in. She says oh let me call someone now, I say to her please notify me if there is a delay next time come in for a donation. She says there was no delay when you arrived. Now I am puzzled why didn't they call me - was it my name or my face they didn't like? I understand these people are working for a not-for-profit, they are busy, under pressure etc. but they are to provide basic service to donors. I cancelled my appointment with disappointed at this centre and will not be coming back to this centre again. My commitment to the cause is greater than the people working there so I will be visiting another centre soon.
My first time donor experience was excellent. Everyone was friendly and explained the process and answered all my questions. The donation itself only took 10mins and the post donation snacks were 5 star
Staff are lovely here, this is my 5th plasma donation at the Collins Street Melbourne centre. My only wish though is could you please provide more nutritional Vegan snack options. Thank you.
