My second time here to donate at this centre and it’s such a lovey space. The best staff cater to you and ensure that you are looked after for your time here. The snack station volunteer lady was also really sweet and kept offering everyone water.
The staff are all so friendly and empathetic. Great customer service. A lovely donor centre.
Booked my appointment via the lifeblood app. Free undercover parking with lift access. Every staff member I encountered were friendly, supportive and professional. Expect to answer a million questions each visit but it is all worth it for the joy of donating. Post appt drinks and snacks are free and encouraged.
Very friendly and encouraging staff. I donated blood first time at this centre. I booked the appointment thru the, Redcross Life blood App. It was a lovely experience. They explained each process very good. They will take more care especially for first timers. Will come back to the same centre again. Plenty of snacks available to increase sugar level. Car Parking : If you are new to this centre it may be hard to find car park. you will get a free under cover parking if you enter from the back street Thomas Street. Find the entrance Opposite to Chermside McDonald's driveway.
Transphobic staff!! Got told cause I'm transgender and not on hormones I cannot donate due to my partner also being trans on hormones we had been spilt for 9 months and I had spit ans I didn't see her for thay period! Also wasn't planning on transition for a while due to family reasons! Not coming back I quit blood donation!!
Firstly, PARKING IS FREE, EASY AND UNDERCOVER!!! ...so you don't need to worry about that as I did initially This is a great facility staffed by friendly caring people who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. Shout out to Sarah, Leanne and Sheree for their care and expertise, and everyone else whose names I didn't catch. The great customer service will ensure I'm happy to return!
Big thanks to all the staff who give their time to help coordinate such an important act. A special shout out to Leeanne who was the person who looked after me on my first donation making it as easy and stress free as possible! She was incredibly kind and attentive. The facility is lovely, spacious with a great range of snacks post donation! All the staff are friendly and helpful and explain the process very transparently.
Had a lovely experience here for my first time donating. All the staff were wonderful. Will be back regularly.
WHERE ARE THE HONEY SOY CHICKEN CHIPS!!! Everything about this place is great, the staff are lovely and professional. But, why take away the good chips, I drive over half an hour in peak hour traffic, sit there for over an hour to donate plasma or 2 hours for platelets and now you're taken away the honey Soy chippys, why? 3 hours every 2 weeks and a litre of my blood/blood products and you can't even get the good chips. Why not!! Bring 'em back please! WHERE ARE THE HONEY SOY CHICKEN CHIPS!!!!
Unfortunately, it often takes the illness of someone close to consider giving blood, but once you start, you realise the impact you’re making to the lives of people you’ll never meet. The staff here are as friendly as and make the whole experience comfortable. There’s snacks before and snacks after and the whole facility is pristine. Hats off to all at the Chermside centre.
