Every time I have been here the staff have been rude and unprofessional. I've previously had a parcel I was posting snatched out of my hand aggressively by a male staff member. Recently I was attempting to pick up a parcel that the postman had clearly not even attempted to deliver, to be met with a rude staff member who continuously cut me off and made some rude comments regarding the name on the parcel and if I truly lived at my address. These comments were loud, out of line, and were easily fixed by showing an additional form of ID. The worker that was assisting me was rude and unprofessional. If I could use any other service I would, and I'd highly encourage an Australia Post representative to update either their training or hiring process as clearly something is not working.
If I could give less than a 1 star review I would. The staff here are beyond rude, and I have worked in customer service for over 10 years so I do understand the frustration that comes with the job sometimes. I understand protocols of sighting an original birth certificate for certain applications, but the staff did not have to patronise and raise their voice in order to get the point across. They simply had to respond politely, ONCE, for the message to be relayed. Instead, the behaviour I encountered was extremely dismissive and disrespectful, especially in front of a line full of people. I urge people who need to get something done to seek post service elsewhere, because the staff at Padstow seem to think they are above everyone else. Just a reminder that you are working in the public service sector.
Small satchel under 5kg with flat rate should be around $10. These people tried to charge me $18. When I explained to them they didn't believe me and tell me to go somewhere else. They don't know how run their shipping system.
I had an unbelievably bad experience at this AU Post location. From the moment I walked in, the staff member ignored my greeting and just coldly stared at me, which was already quite unwelcoming. But I let that slide.nnHowever, when I politely asked about using my business discount code, they suddenly yelled at me, saying I should have mentioned it earlier and that it was too late. Instead of explaining things professionally, they mocked me sarcastically, saying, “That was your choice.” Their body language was aggressive, as if they were about to physically charge at me, which was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.nnI don’t expect top-tier customer service from AU Post, but at the very least, I expect basic human decency and respect. The fact that AU Post employs staff who treat customers this way is completely unacceptable and shocking
The service here is okay, it's a bit gloomy though. The queue here isn't out of control whenever I visit and all the stock is neat and in order. Usually kept very clean.
