I really like this post office. The staff here are passionate and patient, always eager to help me with my needs. Although it's not a big post office and they want to fit more items in the shop, the service is always satisfactory. They also have a wonderful café connected to it where I can enjoy a nice coffee and send a postcard. One of the big bonuses of this shop is that they sell a wide range of postcards and maxicards, which I find quite intriguin
Lunch time traffic. There was 1 person serving when I walked in. Eventually there were 3. One was short with the customers and the other one was talking to a customer about how much they didn’t want to be working there. I’m lucky that I was served by the the lovely gentlemen. Friendly and fast service from him. Super convenient store if you are on foot, parking is tough. Passport service was excellent as well.
Wow I'm all for giving people a second chance, as we all have bad days, but wow the blonde older senior lady that works there is beyond rude and this is coming from several experiences with her. The only reason I will be back if I have to pick up a parcel. I will now go out of my way to find another post office that wants my business, and better customer service
The gentleman that works here is always so helpful and caring he is beyond amazing, I appreciate his assistance immensely.
I would have to agree with some of the other reviewers. The older more senior woman in this post office is most unpleasant. I and a younger AP staff member were having problems with a new AP system for custom declarations. The more senior staff member was not helpful, rather pointing out to the young female staffer that a queue was getting long behind me. I don't know what she was suggesting I or the junior should do about this. I believe she wanted me to go away. I did and went to another AP office where the staff resolved the issue in a matter of minutes. I noted the queue was only building when she abruptly stopped serving to do administrative tasks. All the while this was going on, with an office full of customers, bizarrely a cleaner was trying to hoover the floor around us with customers trying to move out of the way. This AP branch is truly odd.
Small post office inside a book store. The staff have always been friendly whenever I’ve visited. Since it’s a small post office, their range isn’t a large as a usual post office, but they have always had everything I need. There are parcel lockers available outside.
Really amazing service by the gentleman that looked after me today. I was on crutches. He could not of helped me anymore. Best service I have received at a post office I will visit again. Thank you this is what great service looks like.
Always a great experience here, hardly ever much of a queue unlike the west end office that goes out the door and the staff are always helpful and friendly. I have parcels diverted here if I know I’m not going to be home as I know picking it up will be easy
I'm really sorry that I have to leave this review, because some of the staff here are lovely. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with the older female employee I dealt with while collecting a parcel this afternoon Friday 30 July. I didn't get her name, but she had medium-length brownish hair. In a completely routine and legal course of action, I had used the designated field provided on the Auspost website to update my account with my preferred name. My legal name is still stored with Auspost as well, for identity verification purposes. Because I know that identity verification needs to be thorough, I also used the Auspost site to authorise myself to collect my parcel under my legal name, just in case there was any trouble. I then went in to collect the parcel, with ID that matched the details of the person authorised to pick up my parcel me, and the last name on the parcel as well. When I presented my ID to this employee, I also told her I had a preferred name, but could provide the tracking number of the parcel, and show her my details matching those on the parcel on the Auspost app. I'm sorry to say that as soon as I spoke up about having a preferred name, this employee treated me with extreme rudeness, and made me feel utterly disrespected and talked down to. She snapped at me in a harsh tone, glared at me the entire time, and almost turned me away until I repeated that I could show her the tracking number for the parcel attached to my Auspost account on my phone. While trying to turn me away, she also called the old name that I no longer use my "real" name, and put a lot of emphasis on this as if she didn't want to acknowledge my preferred name at all. Even after I spoke up about the tracking number once again, she was still hostile and distrustful, and interrogated me about details on the parcel that most people might not even remember e.g. the name of the sender. I felt so uncomfortable, I just wanted to take my parcel and get out of there. Overall, this was an upsetting experience that made me genuinely question whether her hostility was somewhat discriminatory in nature. On previous visits, other staff members have still checked a few details to make sure the parcel is going to the right person, but have been nothing but kind and courteous about my identity. I sincerely hope this isn't how this employee usually acts- please do better.
I was in yesterday, and a woman in the staff team with a most unpleasant facial expression and voice of her tone was giving me commands as though I was her pet. It's a shame, despite her senior age she couldent quite fathom that she should be polite with customers.
