I have no idea about all those one star and bad reviews about passport applications, I found that lady very experienced and she explained me the problem might happen in sending a parcel in a wrong bag clearly , that saved me a nightmare down the track . She was very kind
Don't do passport application lodgement here!!! Let me tell u the reasons: 1 Terrible customer service. Staff named Carol was super rude. Why do you have to know where I took the passport photos, Carol? I have multiple passports, of course I would take the photos somewhere else not AuPost. 2 Management of this store got significant issues. They could use all the excuses they have to refuse passport photos if the photos are not taken by this post office. If you don't want to get assaulted, please avoid this post office!
All I wanted to do was post a parcel. It took almost an hour and was made incredibly difficult. I've lived a long life, but rarely if ever have I seen such an appalling display of passive aggressive behaviour. Pretending not to be able to read block capitals, that's really at the master level. This woman on the counter should find work where she isn't forced to interact with the public.
Do yourself a favour and head down the road to the Cotham Local Post Office at 107 Cotham Rd, Kew VIC 3101 junction of Cotham and Glenferrie. So much better service! Only pity is that they don't do passport applications. I had the misfortune of having to come here for a passport application and shared the negative experiences of other reviewers. Never again.
Staff member grey-haired woman, I think her name was Carol was incredibly rude and misinformed. She spoke incredibly condescendingly to me and other customers — we had plenty of time to witness this rudeness as we were waiting in line for an hour. Silver lining of the experience was hearing the passport office over the phone tell her she was incorrect, although she still insisted on her own misinformed point of view. Lodge your passport applications — and truly conduct any other business — somewhere else.
The worst post office in Melbourne for passport applications. I wish I could give 0 stars. This PO will constantly reject passport photos taken by others shops, just so they can take them while you are there and charge you extra $!! You’re better off going 5 minutes up the road and visiting the Kew East LPO for MUCH better service and they won’t try and stuff you around! Terrible service and will always let people know to avoid the Kew Post Shop
For your passport needs specifically for newborn passports, this Aus Post should be avoided. There were significant issues with taking passport photos customers are required to bring their own white backing for baby and inconsistent information being provided. I have given 3 stars because there were some members that tried their best and were flexible/accomodating in particular with taking newborn passport photo.
I went in today to post 3 x Christmas cards all within the state of Victoria. The lady who served me said $2.20 per card as they were not 'standard' card size. They were all marked 'Christmas Card only' on the envelope. I questioned the price but she wouldn't budge so I paid. When I got home I reached out to an Australia Post representative through Facebook who got back to me and said she should have only charged me $1.30 per card as that is the Christmas card stamp price for a large card. Although it seems more trouble to go back and argue the point now for less than $3 I'm not impressed and I would recommend going elsewhere for your postal needs.
By far the worst customer service experience on multiple occasions. I had a parcel card delivered to my workplace. When I went to pick it up they said I needed identification that I worked there. I asked what supporting documentation I needed and he said a letter from my manager which could literally be anyone. Did so but he still wouldn't allow me to collect even though the parcel right was there bc the postal card said to pick up after 4 and didn't indicate am or pm. And please learn how to smile and use your manners, which is courteous in any cultural background.
Despicable service provided by rude women of Indian background. Passport photo machine was broken so I was told to come back after 3pm, but still no guarantees. I travelled a fair distance to get there so I asked for the Post Office phone number so I could call first to make sure the machine was fixed and hence not waste my time coming back. That was too hard. I suggested that I provide my name and number so she could call me when it was fixed, she begrudgingly accepted. No phone call received, and a colleague of mine confirmed that he had a passport photo taken shortly after I had been turned away... Post Office now closed and still no phone call. Pathetic.
